Very sturdy, easy installation
I needed a latch for my Pella brand sliding glass door and took a chance that this item would work; it did.The (ahem) "installation instructions" are useless as there's nothing helpful on the exactly 'One Sentence' of instructions. Here's an easy way to mount this lock:Cut two small sections of double sided sticky tape and place them on the back of the new latch.Extend the hook lock from the door and hang the latch on it.Push the door gently toward the casement where the latch will be mounted and align the latch properly.Draw a small pencil line on the casement where the bottom of the new latch meets the casement.Remove the latch from the door hook, slide the door out of the way and carefully set the new latch in the casement track SLIGHTLY ABOVE your pencil line, about 1/16 to 1/8 inch. Press it in so the double sticky tape holds it in place.Gently close the sliding door and (again) gently operate the lock. You should not feel any resistance and the latch should not hang up. If it does, move your latch slightly more above the pencil line.Assuming there's no interference, slide the door out of the way, make a witness mark out of sight in the casement where the final position of the new latch will be.Install the four screws but don't fully tighten them down until you're sure the locking hook on the door engages the new latch correctly.Ta-Da....you're done!

Make Sure It Fits and You are Good to Go
This hook style latch works exactly as expected. Once I ensured it fit correctly, the installation was straightforward and hassle-free. It provides a secure hold, and the white finish blends just happens to match my door. The key to success with this product is making sure it’s the right fit for your specific door. As long as you confirm the dimensions, you’ll find it to be a reliable and durable product. Other than that, it is what it is.

Smaller than original, but fit perfectly.
It worked and fit perfectly. It was a bit complicated to find the exact installation height, but that's not really the keeper's fault. Once installed, the latch connects perfectly. I did not used the screws that came with the keeper as they seemed rather short. I used longer ones for extra security.

Fits perfectly for what I needed it for!
Fits perfectly for what I needed it for! I didn't have a lock latch on my patio sliding glass door and I actually did not even measure my door jam and just got lucky I guess that this door latch actually fit perfectly after installation and the hardware it came with was self tapping screws. Worked perfectly and my door locked and latched just fine. I'd recommend measuring first unlike I didn't.

Too small, easy to break.
See photos. #1 is what I bought. #2 is appropriate size and strength for typical USA sliding door.
