I think these are mint flavored, and while I don't prefer unknown chemicals or ingredients, it is pleasant, and pretty much absent after one or two uses and may be perfectly harmless. The string holds up so very sell, I'm very happy with that feature and it's one strand , unlike the other brand that separated right away and would get hung up , where these do not do that at all. I've been a flosser that have used standard dental floss, waterpick flossers, and other floss picks but this is my first time trying DenTek. I'm impressed! That thin thread is really strong. So strong that I haven't had it break or shred once. The toothpick feature is on some other floss picks but the DenTek point holds up after multiple excavations. These easily portable floss picks are a work horse that won't let you down in you dental hygiene journey.

These are the only floss picks I will ever use again. They're not too harsh on the gums and easily curve around your teeth. The string is very durable, and I've never had it break on me.
