Works Well
This converter works very well indeed. I do wish some of the settings terminology was better explained. If you are not an analog video signal expert, some settings may not make a lot of sense, and understanding their adjustment will be puzzling.I like that the signal gets through quickly on power-up, and the image quality is good to very good, depending on adjustments. The remote works well, though seems odd at first. The manual is also good. And I like the front display panel. While small, it helps with configuration, and regular use. Also the unit is smaller than I expected. This makes it move under cable tension. I wish there was a way to weigh it down, so it could stay in place. But this is really very minor nit-picking.

Incredibly clean, sharp pixels!
I've been messing with it non-stop and I'm very happy! Once you dial in the timings and other settings, the picture is incredibly sharp. There are ten profile slots so you can save your settings for each console and on top of that you can import settings from an SD card. I used firebrandx's settings and it looks unbelievable! It came really well packaged and the build quality seems to be good, but time will tell. I took it apart and everything looks solid. If anything happens to the unit, I'll update the review.P.S.The OSSC just got a firmware update a few days after I received it and it updated just fine. The new features are working great!Update:I've been using this with a SNES and a PS1 using scart cables and the picture looks beautiful! Yesterday, I received some GameCube component cables and tried out game boy interface. GBA games look fantastic! With GameCube component cables this thing can upscale GBA games all the way up to 1080p and it doesn't dissapoint!

An amazing choice for any retro gamer
I had been looking at splurging on one of these for some time. Finally did it, and it was totally worth it. Some enthusiasts say that the OSSC isn't user friendly, but I'd disagree - the included manual is helpful if the remote buttons aren't self-explanatory enough on their own. I had it set up and running in no time. The line doubling feature works great as expected, but the 3x, 4x and 5x modes are incredible as well. It will make any of your old systems that have Component or RGB out look great on modern displays, and even works well with the PS2's 480i output in 2x and 4x mode.It also comes in some sharp, well-put-together packaging. It's a great product, and I'd highly recommend anyone looking for the best way to play old games on a modern TV to spend the money and give this thing a go!

Good but…
TLDR - it’s expensive by comparison to others and comes with out of date software. Otherwise it’s good.I’m the grown son of the person of the account holder. The product does what it’s supposed to. It upscales with no/little lag. Night and day difference between connecting directly to my TV which has very noticeable lag. The two complaints I have is1. Not sure if this one is a you get what you pay for type deal but this one is significantly more expensive than others here on Amazon but I have not had the over heating issues. Other advertise remedying that as well but I don’t know about them.2. Please excuse me if I don’t recall all the details but the software that comes installed is not up to date. It’s two or three updates behind. Update the software, makes for huge quality of life changes. It is a pain to do so though and cannot be done on Mac.

A must for original hardware retro gamers.
I had a goal of finally getting away from always having to use a crt for my retro gear... This almost makes it (no composite support and, strangely, not everything supports scart). This is a really great toy if you are a retro gaming enthusiast. The latency feels almost nonexistent. The inclusion of the remote and power adapter make it a more appealing OSSC implementation than any other I have seen. The included instructions are not great though. You'll have to go to the OSSC page for some help. All said though, it works flawlessly, the cost was right and feels high quality. The skeletal, open-frame design may not appeal to everyone but I think it is pretty cool.

Works great
No issues with the quality of the converter unit itself. The included wall adapter felt a bit cheap, but that would be an easy replacement if I end up really worried as it's just a 5v 1.5A round plug. The battery compartment on the remote was a bit too snug and the batteries were quite difficult to remove with just my fingers.I'm not invested into the whole SCART ecosystem so I can't speak to the quality of that input, I'm going to be using the unit with all my component video cables. I've only tested with a PS2 so far, but it was basically plug and play, video was output right away after selecting YpbPr on the remote and tweaking the image to my liking was simple enough. I anticipate the SNES and Wii will be a similar result.I didn't run into any video output incompatibility on either my LG 4K monitor or an old Samsung FHD TV.

SUPERB Retro Gaming accessory
This it a GREAT tool if you happen to have some SCART cables for your Genesis/Saturn/PS1/SNES, etc. I use this exclusively with my Sega Saturn and the picture quality is PHENOMENAL with imperceptible lag (imperceptible to me at least, even playing Street Fighter 2). It is a unit that will give you years of great service. Now that the RetroTink 2 is off the market (pre-assembled) and requires a Raspberry Pi now, this is a great alternative, provided you have the proper inputs. It doesn't do the simple ones for NES and so forth. Just research what cables you'll need and you'll be set. You'll never go back to composite again. :)
