Not in my experience. I've used it on black pants and dark blue plants.

I cant answer that but I use this and love it. Highly recommend it.

Is this good if I want to stiffen jeans?

NO, It just gives a small amount of firmness. It would not give you the amount of stiffness you may want for jeans.

Good starch

Great for professional creases. I spray it on the inside of what I am creasing, throw it in the dryer for 30 minutes, then steam press with an iron. Works very well.
