Complete junk...probably defective, but won't try another one
The app is buggy as hell. No timeouts, so if it can't find something it will just hang forever...rebooted my phone several times during setup. after many reboots and restarts I was finally able to get the remote set up in the app. But it didn't work. I eventually noticed the wifi light was blinking, and restarted the device. Once it restarted, connected i tried again...but it was already offline again.after a few more restarts I was able to get "device info" to connect long enough to give me some info, and I noticed it said "wifi signal poor"...ok, there's like a dozen other IOT devices wifi connected in the same room, but whatever...I moved it to a few inches from the router, then it reported "wifi signal good"...I guess "good" is as good as it gets. but it didn't matter, it went offline again in a few seconds. It did manage to open my awning once...over 4 days of screwing with it, it opened once. The device I received seems obviously to be defective, so I'll be returning it...only to find out i have to pay return shipping. So rather than risk putting good money after bad and trying another, I'll just continue to use my remote. it's a little disappointing because I really wanted to smart-up my awning, but even if it worked properly the app is slow and buggy.edit:Ok, I broke down and ordered a replacement even after saying I wouldn't. The new unit had the exact same problems. App hangs, firmware updates failed, device constantly going offline. And I discovered a new annoyance, there's no way to remove an old My Link unit from the app. so even though the old one was offline and gone, it was apparently going to be in the app forever showing "unable to connect". And yes, I uninstalled the app and re-installed...old configuration remained. was not able to get the second My Link to ever operate the awning.

It Works with Somfy Blinds and Alexa!
These worked great for my Somfy Blinds. It can be used with the app on your phone or is compatible your Alexa device. I previously tried the Somfy Tahoma hub. It did not work and I had to return it. So I was skeptical about this device. However, it connected well and was fairly easy to set up. I’m able to use voice control with Alexa as long as at the end of my command I say with “my link”. Example “Alexa shut the blinds with my link.”

cool way to control shades by somfy. App is slow
just being lazy i got tired of pressing a button to make my shades go up and down. so I spent a lot of money to buy this thing. setup was fairly easy though upon initial connection it was not clearly presenting the device name (had to scroll down to find it). once it was found, it connected to the internet and setup to the shades. the app is painfully slow and integration with alexa isn't great and it was not clear that I needed to enable the somfy skill. once that was all done, i can raise the shade by asking alexa to 'tell somfy to raise shades' which is still too much work. so I set a schedule to open the shades in the AM and close the shades in the PM. now I dont have to press any buttons or even talk to alexa. it plugs into a socket directly so no unsightly cord. so far so good. shades open and close on schedule.

Perfect match for Cooloroo Outdoor Solar Shades!
I had some nervousness about purchasing this interface after reading some negative reviews, but for our setup, it works flawlessly. We are controlling three Cooloroo Outdoor Solar Shades which come with the Somfy three button remote. We control each one separately. After receiving the interface, I plugged it into a convenient outlet and installed the Somfy myLink Smart Home app on my iPhone. The app stepped through the setup procedure very clearly. First you wifi directly into the device and change the wifi setting to your home. I have an SSID dedicated to IOT devices which is 2.4 ghz only, so no issue with that requirement. Once connected to the home wifi, I went through the process of adding a device. Push the button on the back of the three button remote until the shade jogs, then press the Program button in the app. Went through that 3 times and it worked each time. The third shade is about 20 feet from the device on the outside of the house. The others are closer. The only problem I had was going to create a schedule, you have to create a scene first not during the creation of the schedule or the schedule doesn't save - probably something which will be fixed in the app at some point.Scenes are limited to open, close or 'My' setting. (not something like close to 25% like the Lutron shades). Schedules can be set to a specific time or up to 120 minutes before or after sunrise or sunset. You can specify which weekday you want the schedule to run.You can use Alexa to control the shades after you go through the linking process in both the MyLink and the Alexa app. It walks you through the steps so I won't repeat them here.So for this application, I can highly recommend this hub and hope your experience goes as well as mine.
