I did get this one because they said that it was updated version and I use it to control my viewsonic board as a teacher, and WOW. In the past, I have used a clicker to move through my slides, but this little keyboard with the mouse pad is an all in one powerhouse gadget. It is light, and doesn't seem so substantial and I am sure that once i drop it a few times, its going to break, but it really has made my life much easier, and for $24 that is a big win for me. I do not use the BT to connect to my viewsonic board, I use the dongle, and there is no lag time for anything. I can use it from anywhere in my classroom without any issues. The mouse works great, and the two red buttons on top are great for mouse clicking too. Really impressed. Review: Almost perfect mini keyboard - Keyboard is a solid and reliable mini keyboard for HTPC and similar use cases. it has a similar layout to the previous model which was sold under various brands but with the addition of Bluetooth connectivity, a larger touch pad, a slightly better key layout and a few additional buttons and a scroll wheel. the only drawback to this model is the shape, the previous model of this type of keyboard shown in the attached picture was easier to hold on to, whereas the oval shape of this tends to slip out of the hand. The Bluetooth connectivity in particular is a very good thing because if you lose the dongle on the non Bluetooth models they become useless, whereas this one remains useful. incidentally that's why I'm buying this one, I lost a dongle to the old one. ## Features - Support BLUETOOTH 4.0 and 2.4GHz RF Connections: No extra clutter because it has Bluetooth built in (no dongle required). Really impressed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Almost perfect mini keyboard *by A***X on September 11, 2026* Keyboard is a solid and reliable mini keyboard for HTPC and similar use cases. it has a similar layout to the previous model which was sold under various brands but with the addition of Bluetooth connectivity, a larger touch pad, a slightly better key layout and a few additional buttons and a scroll wheel. the only drawback to this model is the shape, the previous model of this type of keyboard shown in the attached picture was easier to hold on to, whereas the oval shape of this tends to slip out of the hand. The Bluetooth connectivity in particular is a very good thing because if you lose the dongle on the non Bluetooth models they become useless, whereas this one remains useful. incidentally that's why I'm buying this one, I lost a dongle to the old one. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ So close to perfect that you may as well stop searching and buy this one. *by I***. on July 24, 2023* I'v gone through a number of these with my media PC and this one is far and away the best PROs - The buttons are big, and very responsive - The touchpad is perfect - my last one was very jumpy, and would move the cursor off the button when you took your finger off the touchpad - even with sensitivity reduced. Drove me nuts. - Scrollwheel! Enough said - Options of connection. BT is convenient but doesn't work on boot to get into BIOS and things like that. With the 2.4Ghz dongle it's like having a keyboard attached. For me that's very important. - The shoulder buttons are big and very easy to find in the dark if you just need to pause/play. - The backlight when turned on is very bright! - The backlight comes on automatically for a few seconds when you turn on the keyboard. CONS - There is no dedicated pause/play and FF/RW buttons. They are each a two key combination. In some applications the OK/left/right work for those features - in some they don't. I may be wrong, but I feel like most people with use this little keyboard for media - and dedicated buttons would be convenient. If you use Linux it's very easy to reprogram some of the less useful hardware buttons. I have no idea what the process would be on Mac/Windows. - Turning on the backlight is a two-key combination, which can be a little tricky to find in the dark. I'm hoping muscle memory will solve this problem shortly. - This seems to be an industry standard on this type of keyboard - I've looked at dozens - but there is only one shift button. It's only a mild annoyance because nobody is setting typing speed records on this little guy. With that exception it's a full keyboard - including an AltGR button for accented/special character input, which is great! ## Frequently Bought Together - Rii (Upgrade) i4 Mini Bluetooth Keyboard with Touchpad, Blacklit Portable Wireless Keyboard with 2.4G USB Dongle for Smartphones, PC, Tablet, Laptop TV Box iOS Android Windows Mac.Black - Aproca Hard Travel Storage Carrying Case for (2019 Upgrade) Rii i4 Mini Bluetooth Keyboard - Fosmon Mini Bluetooth Keyboard (QWERTY Keypad), Wireless Portable with Touchpad, Compatible with Apple TV, Amazon Fire Stick, PS4, PS4 Pro, PS5, HTPC/IPTV, VR Glasses, Smartphones --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/152068517-upgrade-rii-i4-mini-bluetooth-keyboard-with-touchpad-blacklit-portable](https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/152068517-upgrade-rii-i4-mini-bluetooth-keyboard-with-touchpad-blacklit-portable) --- *Product available on Desertcart Panama* *Store origin: PA* *Last updated: 2026-10-07*
