I love this brace
I purchased this brace to replace a very uncomfortable brace I received at the Dr.’s office. I love this brace! It has a comfortable foam cushion in the bottom which lessens the impact on my heel/ankle. I had a problem with my ankle which took a long time to diagnose which means I have been in a brace for well over a year, so comfort is imperative. I wear a 7 - 7 1/2 women’s shoe size and the small is perfect. I ended up purchasing some men’s thick tube socks which reach my knees, and the socks do not have heels so they will fit any shoe size. I had surgery on my ankle in November, a fusion of ankle bones and a rod up through my heel bone and into my tibia, secured with screws. I went into a hard cast which recently came off and I am back into the boot, again comfort is a priority. Replacement boot liners can also be purchased on Amazon.

Jones fracture/ORIF #2
I bought this brace specially because it was lighter than the metal black braces. I'm used to those ones. I've had multiple fractures, along with a Jones with an ORIF on my Right 5th metatarsal 4 yrs ago and now my left a month ago. I have an extreme amount of atrophy and the heavy brace was hurting my knee. I was no weight baring for a month and wanted the lighter brace. It worked perfectly. It has ease when walking. I find the heal portion is a different feel than the black brace. The padding is more firm on this brace. I work on my feet all day long and sometimes do prefer the black brace. This one is more comfortable because it is lighter. The only complaint I have is the soft portion that goes around your leg is on the smaller size if you have larger calves. If I got a larger size than the sole would not fit correctly. Overall I love this cam walker

Doesn’t even fit narrow ankles!!
This destroys your ankle bones!! I have very thin (albeit boney) ankles, often referred to as chicken legs, and the hard plastic backing on this is SO narrow at the bottom that it digs into my ankle bones making it impossible to wear. I don’t understand why it is made so narrow as there are air pockets meant to make it tight, but the hard plastic is escrutiating. I have no idea how folks with normal ankles would even get their leg into this thing!

Good brace, needs better strips.
I had polio as an infant and it affected my leg. So I have multiple issues and can not walk without a device. Even with insurance, I can not afford a personalized leg brace so I buy and use this one. I would give it 5 stars across the board except for I have been having trouble with the top strip breaking. I have written the company and they do not sell replacement strips. So this time I took the center strip off the old brace and put it over the top strip so that it is double striped. I am hoping this works. If not I might have to look at a different brace.

Good for Stress Fracture 5th Metatarsal
The orthopedist wanted to sell me a virtually identical boot for several hundred dollars, so I'm glad I got this one. It takes the pressure off of my injury (stress fracture on the outside of my right foot, 5th metatarsal) so that walking and standing are more comfortable. It does add a good bit of height so it is not comfortable to wear with my non-injured foot barefoot, but if you wear it with a sneaker you should be alright. It can be worn on either foot, I added a shoe insert to add some arch support.I was concerned it would be difficult to adjust but it's actually quite simple, and the ability to inflate and deflate the air bladders lets you control how much pressure the boot applies- you can also change how tightly the velcro is strapped.I will have to update this after I've worn it for a few weeks but initially I am very pleased!

Comfort and support
I’m giving 5 stars because I tried several boots before this one and all had parts that jabbed into my injureies. I had chipped ankle chipped chin bone I had fracture my heel and fractured a couple other bones within the top of my foot in a car accident. I wear a 61/2 shoe and have very thin legs. This boot was supportive and extremely more comfortable than any other boot. The Velcro’s you must be careful with that attach the inner lining to the base of the boot and the Velcro’s that clothes the top of the liner wears out fairly quickly but nevertheless you still have the support piece on the top and the outer Velcro on top of that to keep it secure enough. I give 5 stars it could use some tweaks for improvement but by far better than any other boot I have tried.

I feel that a xsmall would have fit much better.
The boot is a bit heavier than what I was expecting. I ordered a small because I wear a 6.5 shoe, however the boot was too big for me. I feel that a xsmall would have fit much better.

Good experience, 100% recommend.
This walking boot was really effective for my injury. I had a heel bone fracture that was supposed to heal in about 5-6 weeks. Using this boot really helped my healing process, i am not at 4 weeks after my injury and am able to walk slowly but surely! I really recommend this if you’re looking for a boot at a good price that is also worth the money. It is very comfortable to walk in once you’re injury is safe enough to walk. No one in my family has ever needed a boot like this, so I was confused as to which one to buy. I am pleased with this product!!!
