Product is high quality and works exactly as expected

Looking for the best card reader out there - this is it. Setting it up is not for the faint if heart though it is very complex. Tech support is excellent from HID and they spent the necessary time to get it working. I've had it working for many weeks, and over 6,000 reads with no problems. I tried another cheaper brand first which failed miserably - lost it's memory and had to be reset multiple times, the setup was horky requiring perfect timing for a code passing. The HID had a built in web browser you log into and configure it for exactly what you want. Very precise. Very reliable.

Needed this for a project at work, did exactly what I needed.

This device is a reader only, I followed the link from HID site for a reader/writer that suggested this model. which looks exactly like the reader writer. The software is hidden on HID website link provide on packaging does not work. so, if you expect to copy or to program HID cards look ElseWare. if you want to pay way too much money for a reader then this is the product for you. I do not fully fault the seller but a little clarity. would have saved me a bunch of grief.

I haven't used it alot, just to test it to read a card that my other reader would not. I liked it as it did read my card, but it doesn't give me alot of info compared to my other readers that does read other cards.

Love this card reader because it works like a keyboard wedge to read the chip in our HID ID cards. Automated for security of employees to have specific access to programs. Takes a little trial and error to filter the result you want but once you have the configuration it is easy to apply to other readers. Currently using 100+ of these with no problems.
