Best toilet cleaning product ever!
I donโt ever write reviews, but I had to with this product. It does exactly what it says Itโs going to do and keeps the toilet spotless. Iโve tried all the other products that you drop in the tank that turned the water blue but didnโt do a thing to clean anything This product puts the bleach into the bowl after you flush instead of turning the tank water blow and destroying your rubber parts. I highly recommend this product. Itโs the only one Iโve ever purchased that works!

shocking how well these work!
i have hard water, and the constant ring in the toilet was super aggravating. This little thing took all of 30 seconds to install, and has kept my bowl ring-free for over a month now. I LOVE it. i can smell the bleach a tiny bit when the toilet is flushed, but thats not a bad thing, I kinda like that, as I know its working. Also, excellent design that delivers on its promises. please run and checkout with one of these for every toilet in your house. Amazing product at a fair price. also refills can be on subscribe & save, woohoo!

Works, Fits Kohler but Needs Modification to Fit Korky
This is an interesting product that has the potential to disinfect the toilet bowl without damaging the rubber flapper. It installs in a few minutes without any tools. The diameter of the intake tubing provided was too small to fit onto the port of my Korky fill valve. However, since the provided tubing fit snugly inside the Korky tubing, I was able to use a 1 inch piece of the Korky tubing as a connector/adapter, and install the Fluidmaster 8300. I deducted one star due the the failure to provide a proper connector. The device fit the Kohler fill valve of a second toilet without any problem.

Set It and Forget It Toilet Cleaning!
This is one of those products that just works. Installation took only a few minutesโjust screw it in and let it do its job. The toilet bowl stays clean without those annoying residue rings, and each cartridge lasts about 2โ3 months in our household. What I like most is that the cleaner is introduced through the fill valve rather than sitting in the tank water, so I don't have to worry about it degrading the flapper, stopper, or other internal components over time. It's simple, effective, and saves me from having to clean the toilet as often. For the convenience alone, this product is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!

Flush 'n Sparkle: The Toilet Cleaning System That'll Have You Singing on the Porcelain Throne
As someone who takes their bathroom hygiene very seriously (read: borderline obsessively), I've tried just about every toilet cleaning gadget and gizmo under the sun. From the basic brush-and-bleach routine to high-tech sensor-activated flushing systems, I've seen it all. But it wasn't until I discovered the Fluidmaster 8300 Flush 'n Sparkle Automatic Toilet Bowl Cleaning System that I finally found the holy grail of toilet maintenance. Let me paint you a picture: It's a Tuesday morning, and I'm doing my usual bathroom inspection rounds. I lift the lid, and lo and behold, the dreaded poop skid has reared its ugly head again. Cue the dramatic music. Now, in the past, this would've sent me into a full-blown cleaning frenzy, scrubbing and scrubbing until my hands were raw. But not anymore, my friends. Thanks to my trusty Flush 'n Sparkle, that pesky skid is gone before I can even say "pass the rubber gloves." Here's how it works: The system automatically dispenses a measured amount of cleaning solution with every flush, keeping your bowl sparkling clean and fresh 24/7. No more reaching for the bleach and scrub brush every other day โ this baby does all the hard work for you. And let me tell you, the cleaning solution it uses is no joke. It's like sending in the cleaning equivalent of Navy SEALs to take down those stubborn stains. But the real magic happens when you flush. I'm talking about a level of bowl cleanliness that would make even the Queen of England jealous (Long Live the Queen). It's like watching a symphony of suds and sparkles as the water swirls and the bowl shines. And the best part? No more poop skids, ever. It's like the Flush 'n Sparkle has a personal vendetta against those pesky brown streaks, and it's not resting until they're eradicated from my bathroom forever. Now, I know what you're thinking: "But won't I have to constantly refill the cleaning cartridge?" Nope, not a chance. The Flush 'n Sparkle cartridge lasts for up to 6 months, so you can set it and forget it. That's more time for me to focus on the really important stuff, like making sure the toilet paper is folded into perfect little triangles. So, if you're tired of being a slave to your toilet's whims, do yourself a favor and invest in the Fluidmaster 8300 Flush 'n Sparkle. It's the closest thing to a bathroom butler you'll ever find, and it'll have you singing (or at least humming) while you're on the throne. Trust me, your porcelain throne will thank you.

STRONG DANGEROUS FUMES!!!!
I purchased this product in December, but didn't get around to trying it out until last week. I noticed right away the fumes were fairly strong but I thought it might dilute or calm down in a few days so I just kept the bathroom door shut with the fan on. I installed this in the bathroom across the hall from my bedroom where I work from home. Yesterday on my 30 minute lunch break, I left my bedroom door open on accident and someone in my family used the bathroom and didn't close the door all the way a few minutes after I went on my lunch break. When I came back from my 30 minute lunch break, my bedroom was so filled with fumes that my eyes hurt, my chest hurt, and I was coughing a little after 15 minutes of being in my room. I don't have the greatest sense of smell and I have allergies so it took me a few to realize what was bothering me. I opened the bedroom window and put on my fan to clear the bedroom out, took 3 showers scrubbing myself with rough cleaning rags to finally stop smelling like the bleach, although my hair still smells whenever I move my hair(shaking my head or scratching it, because my scalp itches too). I slept last night with my head near the open window. Thank goodness I did, because I woke up with my lungs still bothering me and my stomach hurting a bit, if I had left the window closed I'm nervous that I might not have woken up. I worked for a couple of hours but apparently the corner my desk is in did not air out enough, because my lungs started burning and my nostrils started hurting. I am currently sitting in my other bathroom with the shower on giving myself a steam treatment per advice from Poison Control, when I breathe deeply and exhale I taste chemicals on my tongue and my lungs, nostrils, and stomach are still bothering me. I am going to wash everything soft in my room, I think the fabrics are holding in the smell. But please be aware that ONLY 30 MINUTES OF COLLECTED FUMES has caused me all these problems. Ps. I have stomach issues and a low flow toilet so I while I knew there would be some fumes from the product, I was willing to try anything to avoid having to scrub the bowl all the time, plus most reviews said the fumes were minimal. The product did help keep the bowl clean for the week it was installed.

COMPARISON OF TOP THREE BRANDS
I am writing a review of three toilet cleaning systems I've bought here on amazon: Fluidmaster : Uses a cartridge containing a chlorine based tablet. Cartridge is not meant to be refilled. Chlorine odor noticeable in the bathroom. Cartridge can be modified (I used a dremel) so it is easily refilled. NeverScrub : Uses a cartridge containing a chlorine based crystal. Cartridge is not meant to be refilled. Chlorine odor noticeable in the bathroom. Kaboom : Does not use a cartridge. Bromine tablet refill inserts directly by unscrewing a cap. No odor noticeable in the bathroom. All three of these systems work the same way and all are really easy to install. All of them put a toilet cleaning chemical (tablets or crystals) in-line between the water fill valve and the toilet bowl fill pipe. All of them prevent the chemical from getting into the tank water (so there is no damage to the plastic parts in the tank). All sell refills for their systems. All keep the toilet bowl equally clean for about 1-3 months depending on how often it is flushed. Amazon also sells Pool/Spa Cleaning Chlorine and Bromine tablets, which as far as I can tell do just as good a job keeping the toilets clean as the refills but at a fraction of the cost. I have tried all of the following, each of which provide enough tablets to keep all the toilets in the house clean for 10 years and they are all very cheap: Kem-Tek 177 : The tablets fit well in the dremel-tool modified Fluidmaster cartridges. The tablets fit well in the Kaboom. The bathroom has a slight chlorine odor. Spa-Kem 267 : The tablets are too large to fit in the Fluidmaster cartridges. The tablets fit well in the Kaboom. No odor. Tropi Clear : The tablets fit well in the dremel-tool modified Fluidmaster cartridges. The tablets fit well in the Kaboom. No odor. Chlorine and Bromine are fairly equal in cleaning ability. Chlorine has that chlorine odor. Bromine is broken down by sunlight. Which is why, on a sunny day, outdoor pools use chlorine. But at night, or indoors, or on a cloudy day, they use bromine since there is no smell. Summary. The Fluidmaster system works but the cartridges are expensive. To refill the cartridges easily requires a small modification with a dremel tool. The cartridge is too small for any tablets larger than 1 inch in diameter. The NeverScrub system also works but the cartridges are expensive. What I am using is the Kaboom system with the bromine tablets (either the Tropi Clear or the Spa-Kem 267 ) as they have no odor and clean just as well as the chlorine tablets.

Best Thing We Used In Our Toilet!
Our plumber told us not to use the bleach discs in our commode because it was hard on the gaskets. The Fluidmaster is a pleasure to use. The product hangs in a little cage and every flush brings a fresh smell of bleach. It has removed the mold we get in the summer with no scrubbing. Our plumber wanted to know where we got this, he was so impressed with it.

Too expensive - specially the refill, but works like wonder. This is not suitable for use in Indian Flush system as the overflow pipe is usually not available and I had to modify the same to get it working.

Excellent system, expand for 3mo update and cheap refills
This kit is not readily available in Canada, but fortunately Amazon vendors sell it at a reasonable markup (considering it is shipped from the USA). It's an excellent automatic toilet cleaning system as it does not damage the rubber seals in your tank with chlorine (my Toto tank actually has an explicit warning stating not to use chlorine cleaners). It "splices" inline with fill hose so that the bleach solution bypasses the tank altogether (via the overflow tube) and fills your bowl after each flush while the tank is refilling. Installation is very simple, and the bracket is plastic so you can trim it to fit your tank if necessary. Ensure your tank lid seats fully to reduce flushing and filling noise. It functions as intended but I cannot assess effectiveness yet - I am hoping it either stops or slows the growth of the pink bacteria ring. There is a faint chlorine smell when you first lift the lid, but nothing too offensive IMO. The water level in my bowl has not changed. 3 month update: True to their word, the original chlorine tablets have completely dissolved after 3 months. This is on the primary toilet for two adults. I have not had to clean my toilet for the same period, and there is no pink bacterial growth whatsoever. This is an excellent upgrade as I was cleaning our toilet every 2-3 weeks due to the ring of pink bacteria. Refills: The replacement cartridges are not readily available in Canada but you can replace the tablets yourself with 1" tablets. To gain access, you can pry the bottom cap up off the cartridge with a folding utility knife and tap or pull the cap off. The original cartridge contains three 26x16mm (ie 1โ) tablets and each weighs 11-12g (~34g net weight). The tablets contain DCDMH, boric acid and chlorine per the package label. However, the SDS for the refills indicate that the tablets used to contain 7-13% chlorine (89415-87-2), 40-70% BCDMH (16079-88-2) and 15-40% DCDMH (118-52-5). Fluidmaster likely originally used this chlorine-bromine blend because pure chlorine may be too acidic and/or odorous, but switched to chlorine only tablets due to costs? Regardless, for cheap refills, I purchased Azur Spa bromo tabs (~$50/1.8kg or 60c each). These tablets are 30x18mm (1.2") and weigh 20g. To fit these into the cleaner, cut the "lid" off the cartridge, remove the foam piece, and drop three tablets directly into the holder (instead of refilling the cartridge) - see photos. You now have 60g of bromine (compared to 34g of chlorine) that should last longer, be less acidic and smell less. Flow has not been restricted and there does not appear to be any downsides to this, but I will provide an update if that changes. Hope this helps.

Itโs good
If you have a foam lined tank you might have to carve a bit to fit just 2โ in my case but other than that itโs works great
