These plastic sheilds are better than the rubber shields that I used in the past.
These work better than the rubber rim protectors. They can pop out when you start to torque the tire irons real hard (that is why I gave them 4 stars). You can slide them along the rim better than rubber shields. The palstic does provide protection to the rims. Wish I bought them sooner. I used the rubber shields and the tire irons did wear through and damage the rim surface before I realized it. These do work without damage and that's why I bought them.

works amazingly
You get what you pay for. Yes, these things are more expensive than the smaller ones with the string attached to it. But boy, do these things work so much better. The sweet spot is probably 3 protectors, 2 isn't enough, so do ourself a favor and order 2 sets. Money well spent, no more chipped rims.

Works okay
Worked out okay. These didn't come in on time so I had to resort to the old school method of cutting up a laundry detergent bottle to remove the tire.Used them to put the tire on and it was good but the last bit of tire lip I needed something thinner which was where my DIY protectors came in.

excellent product
I had borrowed these from friends to protect freshly powder coated rims. Im currently restoring some 80s crs and having the rims cerakoted and want to protect them while mounting new tires.

Strong and flexible
These work ok but not well on all rims. Some times they really click on tight others they move around a bit. If you’re careful, in a lot of cases not even necessary. Nice to have though for some motorcycle rims
