Great little drone in small package!! My little guy loves it.
First things first, my son would give this thing 10 out of 5 stars if he could. He as been playing with it every day for about a week. I would say that the total play time so far it about 10 hours. I definitely need to get another battery cause it breaks his heart when it dies and I have to charge it. With all this hands on time no problems have come up that would warrant any questions to the quality of the build. I still have all for 4 original propellers connected to the drone, none have broken or chipped. They also give you an additional 4 backup props just in case. The drone itself is well built and has survived full speed collisions into a wall numerous times. My son loves the flip feature where he can make it flip in the air automatically. He thinks he is the one doing the trick and constantly trying new ways to flip the drone in and out of objects. Also, there is a practical use for the drone that came up. I needed to check my gutters to see if I needed to clean them so instead of getting my ladder and moving it 6 times around my house to check them I just used the drone and the app to see what they looked like. It was super convenient and saved me my Saturday afternoon. The controller its self is well built and its charge lasts a good 2.5 charges of the flying battery before its self needs a charge. Is control knobs have a solid resistance and allow you to make fine tuned maneuvers with the drone. This is a great toy, or even tool you can use. Price is great, build quality is great, and the controller/accessories are all great. Highly recommended purchase.

Best mini drone ive flown :)
Great little drone. Great controls for light rc. Both drone batt and remote charge via usb included charger. App and cam work pretty well. Last as long as rest of drones in the same class if not and its my opinion a little longer. Handles very good and its very clear when its time to put it down. Charge time and performace varies per usb power source. Personally i use a usb fast charge, whether it affects the performance im not sure but charges slightly faster. Here's how to actually use the Drone properly. Completly charge first remote. Then charge drone batt. Then take props off.Important for any drone ever that doesnt have locking props!!!!!! make not of position of letter and number on props ie 1 A front left,1 B front right , 1 B rear left 1 A rear right. The letters are also printed at the Pivot Points! Get glue doesnt matter what kind even wood glue will hold decent. One by one Dab a dot on a toothpick and apply to motor post sticking out. Quickly apply prop pressing down while underside of motor casing. Repeat steps unto all four done. First must turn on drone on level surface. Then turn on remote. Then calibrate. The instructions tell you how. I do it every flight. Note there is a learning curve to any RC device. It will do everything the Box tells you it will. Up down left right once you get a hand of the controls it will Bank Easily. Follow these steps and soon fly a sturdy Mini drone w good cam tons of fun.

Camera zoomed in too much
If you're looking to buy a cheap starter drone that has decent camera capabilities, then look elsewhere. The camera is WAY too zoomed in for such an unstable drone as shown in the video. Would have bought something cheaper if I knew the camera wasn't a selling point like I thought it was. Also, I recorded over 7 minutes of video, but it gave me less than a minute on my phone even though I had enough space, so I recommend recording in short bursts. That aside, it is a decent beginner drone to learn on. It is so portable and relatively easy to fly. The instructions are incomplete, and the app is NOT what is described in the instruction manual. There are key features missing like takeoff and landing. In terms of durability, I accidentally tested its limits by crashing it into the top of my apartment building and watching it tumble down 4 floors to the concrete below. It did bounce against the stairwell on its way down, but I took it up with only one propellor having popped off and a a few scuffs on the body. Restarted it and flew another few minutes. I will mention that this incidence only happened because the wind took the little guy wherever it pleased, so be careful about flying it too high when there is ANY wind. It can't handle it. All in all, a pretty good started drone that could be cheaper since the camera is nearly useless OR could be an amazing drone if the lense wasn't so zoomed in. Also register for the warranty because they give you two free batteries which you will need as it takes about an hour to charge for about 10 minutes of flight time.

ABSOLUTE GARBAGE
i bought one of these thinking $40 would get me a fairly decent drone- nope. i advise you not to purchase one of these. camera was so zoomed in i couldn't tell where i was going if i was watching the screen- not to mention it probably wouldn't work anyway even with the camera zoom correct. the latency was absolutely awful along with the video quality. DEFINITELY NOT HD. i found this exact same model with no branding on wish.com for about $10. they probably buy these in bulk from some chinese manufacturer for $1 a piece and slap their "SIMREX" logo on there and boom an easy $40. i personally decided to save up money and go with one of the DJI drones. i cannot stress enough how much better those work. i've had it for a couple weeks and i already love it. don't waste your money and get something that actually works.

Fabulous Beginner Drone with Video but Cheap Construction
My son has really wanted to get into drone filming. I have seen large, expensive drones that take video and have been dissuaded from spending so much just for him to experiment with. We found this drone and decided that for such a low price, we could handle letting him at least learn how to fly one. It wasn't until after we submitted the order that we realized that it also does video. That was a huge perk! Yes, it says in the product title that it has video capability, but we were in a Christmas buying frenzie and weren't looking at all the details. My son got this on Christmas morning and immediately started playing around with it. He was a little choppy at first, but it only took him a few hours to get the hang of flying it indoors and doing a few tricks. The controls are very basic and even have buttons to perform flips. He had a harder time outdoors because this thing is so small and light that the slightest breeze would blow him off course. It was a little frustrating learning how to fly outside, but he took it to a large park and practiced in a huge, empty field. I certainly wouldn't recommend this for windy areas, but it can probably be handled in a light breeze. Lastly, the construction was a little weak around the propellers. After just a few days of playing with it, one of the propeller guards cracked, which greatly hindered the flight ability. We simply requested an exchange, and it came right away. Unfortunately, they sent us a previously opened drone, and it didn't fly well. We basically traded a faulty drone for another faulty drone. We have returned it and might not buy this drone again. We may try a different drone. If we decide to try for a third drone, we now know to be a little more gentle with it, but I think this is a great way for my son to see if he really wants to get into drone filmmaking or not. A cheap price to pay for a little education.

Fun, reliable and incredibly easy to use
About 4 or 5 years ago I bought a series of inexpensive quadcopters symas etc. They were fun but even the better ones eventually had issues w pairing, inconsistent battery life, engine burnout. I got this Simrex and assumed quads had improved over the years, but I was extremely surprised how much better the Simrex is over the previous ones I had. Really easy to use and reliable, it consistently works with no fuss. Turn on the drone and the control. A couple seconds and the are paired. Push a control button and it calibrates in another couple seconds. Push the start button on the controller, props begin to spin. Push the same button again to auto takeoff and it hovers a few inches up. Ready to land? Put it over a flat area and hit the auto land button. Obviously you can just use the controls and diy. Controls are easy to adjust to and the quad is very agile and responsive. And the quality and reliability just makes it so much more fun bec you're confident that it's going to fire up and run everytime. I can't say how it will last because I've only had it a couple days, but I've got more confidence in it than I had in any of the others I've had.

Saved me a >$100 gutter cleaning!
This little inexpensive drone flew something like 25 or 30 feet into the air and sent back a live stream of video showing me that there are relatively not a lot of leaves in the gutter, negating the need for a gutter cleaning any time soon. That alone makes it "worth it", but this is also very fun and enjoyable to use. I have never flown a drone before so I cannot comment in comparison to higher priced drones. It definitely feels difficult to control, but that may be due to inexperience of the operator (me). The hardest part is realizing that the tilt controls are "backwards" from what you'd expect, BUT when the drone is turned around, those tilt controls are not "backwards" anymore. So, I guess always being aware of the orientation of the front of the drone... I have already gotten it stuck in the top of a bush, crashed it into walls, landed hard, gotten grass stuck in the blades, and it still works perfectly. It comes with extra propellor blades, although I haven't had to use those yet. It seems incredibly durable, despite looking somewhat small and flimsy. (Maybe I just got lucky though.) I recommend to anyone looking for a fun device that might even have some utility (checking gutters, inspecting roof, chimney, etc.) I will warn, it is difficult to get a steady image, possibly due to my own inability to control the device, but if you have a live stream of recorded video, you can then scroll to a specific frame of interest (see attached screenshot). I would not recommend this drone to children because of some of my own difficulties controlling it, but use your judgement there. And (although I definitely ignored the advise that I'm about to give) I would not fly this around trees, bushes, power lines, houses, or anything that it has potential to crash into. Take it slow and try to keep it steady first at least. As for the video, it looks alright - definitely better than I would have expected given the low price. And as for battery, I have just used it for about 10 minutes on-and-off and the battery still seems fine. I'm not sure how long it typically is supposed to last. There is a single charging cable for the battery that is inserted in the drone and the remote control. The video is streamed via wifi (the drone has a wifi transmitter that shows up as a hotspot that you need to manually connect to) and seems to have decent range, as I was able to go about 25-30 feet into the air without it losing signal, as far as I could tell.

Good starter drone for the price.
This little drone is pretty neat. My 8 year old wanted one and after reading other reviews we decided on this one. He was super excited when it arrived and couldn’t wait for it to charge. My 11 and 8 year old figured out how to charge it and put everything together so I must say it’s pretty easy to get started. He was flying it in no time in the house. Outside with a little wind is a different story. The drone was hard for him to control and we lost two propellers. That would be my only recommendation: to make the black propellers a brighter color so they are easier to see on the ground. He was also having an issue with the propellor guard hitting the propellor, but we figured that one out. Otherwise great little drone. We haven’t connected it to a phone yet so unsure how the footage looks. I may post an update after he gets the hang of it enough to take video and use the phone features.
