Aqua-Pure Under Sink Replacement Water Filter Cartridge 3M FF101

Full disclosure - I worked for 3M Company who makes this product for 37 years, which makes me biased. But that also makes me knowledgeable. In this case this filter will attach to the cold water line under your sink and provide full flow (2.5 gpm) filtered water for drinking and cooking. This is SO much better than installing a “shepherds crook” faucet on top of your counter that filters well but takes forever to even fill a glass. You can also use the same water line to feed your ice maker. It removes all the bad stuff you would worry about and makes the water taste great too. I believe the life of the filter is about 10,000 gallons or so. I replace mine every year. The replacement is very easy - a twist off/twist on process. Have recommended to all my friends and everyone that tries it loves it. Replacement cartridges are expensive but the ease and utility makes it worthwhile for us.

We've been traveling nearly full time for over two years and have found these filters give us far better drinking water than bottled water, which we used to buy in jugs or cases. Once set up it's so convenient. Pricey, but they last about a year, sometimes more. I run through a pre-filter first to pull sediment. A 3M tech tipped me on that and it extends the filter life dramatically while pulling harmful sediment out that can rapidly clog the 3M filter.

We eventually start to notice a slowdown in pressure and then we know it’s time to change and in some ways makes us feel reassured that it does work. Always arrives quickly. We are worried about the water as well as the old pipes that run from the city water line up to our top floor apt. Soooo old and rusty. This gives us a little peace of mind.

We've had this filter system for about 3 years, and we love it. The best feature is that it allows water to flow at nearly the full rate of a normal tap. We have it installed to supply filtered water out of a normal tap on a bar sink when the handle is turned to 'cold', and unfiltered hot water when the handle is turned to 'hot'. Also great is that the filter is very easy to change. You don't have to turn off any water. Just a quarter twist to take the old filter off and a quarter twist to put the new one on. At most you get a tiny dribble of water landing on a towel. Easy!

I use for filtering water on my sailboat. Filter is in-between water tanks and the gally sink cold water faucet. My only complaint is the cost of the filter replacements, I think that there is about a 15% - 20% premium due to lack of a competitive product.

It can last up to 1 year, or more depending on the use, I intalled in the sink faucet (cold water).

I have been using this 3M Aqua-Pure filters for the last five years. I replace annually under the kitchen sink and have no complaints, works as advertised as far as I know. I would recommend others to use.

I used to have the smaller 3M filter and recently upgraded to this one. Which is huge, by the way! The water just tastes "pure", for lack of a better word. Almost similar to distilled water, but not as bitter. Bought one for the kitchen and one for the bathroom. ...now if only they were a little cheaper!
