CAMERA PLUS
Thought I would give this Nokia a try, using a Samsung A4O this last year and thats a great little handset 5.9 screen is little these days,my normal preference is a sub 6inch screen ideal for one handed operation, sadly camera on Samsung while good quality zoom feature was not enough for my needs so hence taking a try with the Nokia found handset to be quite a bit larger than the Samsung,in fact despite a nice finish on the body in dark charcoal it had a more you know its there feel, its quite slick and pro looking and it was quite easy to transfer apps and info to it from the Samsung. Call quality in use seemed quite clear Camera is 40 plus mpx and the zoom had a larger range than the Samsung. There was no gallery app apart from google photos so may have to download one, music seemed to be of good quality playing music, but volume seemed tame, using on or over ear headphones you got a full rich bass sound ,but a bit more volume would be good when playing phone out loud.Overall good solid handset ,amazing Matt finish on back of phone and build quality gives phone a unique and super slick look despite not being very compact ,the design and camera make this phone stand out as something special. Must admit the more time you spend with this phone its feel in the hand that cool finish in dark charcoal and curved yet slim body the design is amazing, phone operation can be a little scatty at times but still feels relevant in 2024,64 gig memory can boosted with memory card plenty for me and my music production activities online and that finish is still relevant in 2024 and good value with the high mpx Zeiss camera.

Very good phone for this price range
I like the clean lines and features. Fingerprint reader works better than previous phone but sometimes takes a couple of attempts. A firm tap with the finger works better than pressing the finger against the reader. Not tried the camer very much lately. Heard reviews about rendering of reds not being very good but can't comment personally. I gather the gcam app helps compensate for this. Overall very pleased with it.

A good phone, but beware of sdcard bug
A good phone, but beware of the sdcard bug. The sdcard can only format as external media, don’t choose internal! I lost all the photos taken in internal sdcard mode. After I learnt this bug from web, just a bit late.

A cracking phone for this price point!
When my Samsung S7 battery failed and pushed the back cover off, time to buy a new phone! After a lot of research I opted fir the Nokia 7.2, its on Android One so guaranteed updates for a few years. In every way it is miles ahead of my old Samsung S7. Excellent battery life - I get a couple of days before recharging, and its very quick! The Samsung was on charge all the time - I DONT miss that...lol. The cameras are excellent, so much more versatility than the S7. The screen is bright and clear. I cant fault it....for this price point its excellent. Its a phone with an excellent camera, that is all I need, the bonus is - no more battery anxiety and got rid of a LOT of charging leads.... The phone has performed faultlessly.

Awful phone, breaks after a few months.
Terrible product, and awful support from Nokia. I purchased this phone in July 2021. Initially this worked well, fingerprint sensor was not the best, but otherwise excellent phone, with reasonable battery life. Good camera. Charging a little once every day, or needed every other day. Wind forward to March 2022 and what a difference. Unusable is the only way to describe it. Slow, sluggish, would take 20 to 30 seconds just to switch apps. Fingerprint sensor went from poor to non-responsive. Battery life would dive in a few hours. The proximity sensor lived in its own world, ending calls was automatic at random points. Tried sending a text recently, with line of sight of the transmitter, and it disconnected and got very hot for a few minutes, before reconnecting and sending. Tried a factory reset and fresh start, did not import old settings or apps. It was just as bad, or worse as the text incident happened after the reset. Contacted Nokia, they said to send it back. They took it back free of charge to Budapest - good to see the repair was local to the UK, or not in this case. They had the phone a total of 7 hours and 19 minutes - scanned in at 5:17am and ready to ship back at 12:36pm on the same day - as not faulty. For reference, as I sent it for repair, I imported my Nokia 7.2 backup onto a Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite and - apart form an erratic digitiser (my fault) - the old phone works flawlessly. Proving the problem with the Nokia 7.2. Based on other reviews I am now seeing on Amazon I would say there is a design flaw with this product and Nokia do not care to admit it, leaving the customer to bear the cost of their design failure. Challenging them on chat they told me to book it back in for a repair and send it back again. So playing free international shipping ping-pong. Presumably until the phone is lost or physically damaged. 5 stars to Amazon as usual as I contacted them. I now have a QR code, valid for 30 days, to send back for a full refund after telling them the problems. That is assuming I get it back in one piece, otherwise I have just lost £185 to a horrid company - Nokia. Awful experience, didn't think I would say this, but think I will stick with far eastern products next, another Xiaomi seems like the best choice based on past experience.

Solid phone, but not without issue.
I have had some issues with my Nokia 7.2 - the main one being that the drop down menu randomly activates while I am viewing content on my device, or when I am typing to friends online, which has caused me to lose progress / interrupts my viewing experience. I have also had some issues with the Finger-Print reader not registering properly and sometimes activating when in my pocket, so I have to manually input my code instead of the easy-access button. A minor inconvenience at best. Lastly, the sensitivity of the Google Assistant key means that it goes off too easily - at home or when around and about I have found it activating and begin talking to me / listening to my conversations. Again, a minor inconvenience, but still notable. The Camera is nice, clean and good-quality. There aren't any slow-downs when I run my device on any of my apps (YouTube, Netflix, Facebook and Google Chrome). The functionality has been solid and the battery-life is excellent. The quick-charge cable is also a neat addition meaning I can charge for a short amount of time and still reach full-power; if I forget to charge overnight. Overall I am pleased with the product; but it's not been exactly how I'd hoped.

A good sized phone, easy to handle.
I found fingerprint reading most unsuccessful on a previous phone so haven't used it on my new one. Battery life is very successful in my opinion. It is one of the reasons I changed my phone. The phone is definitely good value for the money I paid for it. Receiving phone calls was not easy to start with but now, after several weeks, it has sorted itself out and I have no problems answering a call. As for photography, it is brilliant. Photos are crystal clear and the resolution is good when an image is enlarged.

Don't waste your money.
It was a great phone for the first 10 months and now it's absolutely awful. Crashes all the time. Can't do anything on it. It's taken a dozen attempts to write this review.
