Outstanding customer service from a company that backs their product
I have problems with sand in my water well so when a spin down sediment filter was recommended, I bought this one. The screen turned brown within 48 hours, indicating that it was trapping a lot of silt. I set the auto-flush so it would flush every day for a full minute, but it made no difference in the appearance of the filter. In fact, though I could hear the motor in the auto-flush unit turning at the beginning and ending of the flush period, there was no sound of water running or change in appearance. I finally disconnected the outlet pipe and that's when I saw that it was not flushing. I hadn't known what to expect sound-wise so it wasn't obvious to me at first. I contacted iSpring customer support through Amazon and had incredible service. It was responsive, personal, and they took ownership of the problem and shipped a replacement unit. I had to contact them twice because the first time they thought it might be that I had used too fine a filter (50 micron) so replaced with the 100 micron, but it wasn't that. Then they replaced the auto-flush unit and then it worked beautifully. I measured the shaft length of both units and found that the first one had a 3mm shorter white shaft than the replacement unit, and that prevented it from engaging with the valve as the motor turned the shaft. I took it apart and looked inside and saw that it had been assembled incorrectly, with the motor not flush with the housing as it was supposed to be and held between two washers on screws/plastic pillars (which had bent). It was just a matter of the assemblers screwing it down before it was properly in position. I'd be unhappy except that the service was A+++ and they resolved the problem. So I'm a happy customer and can recommend this device. Will it solve my sand problem? Time will tell, but it is obviously collecting a lot of sand or silt, judging from appearances. I have set it to flush every day for 30 seconds. I'm happy with my purchase!

A Game-Changer for Keeping Sediment Out of Your Water
Living in a rural area, I rely on a private well for all of my household water. Even though my well is over 300 feet deep, it still produces a significant amount of sediment. I had already installed a multi-stage filtration system, but the sediment was clogging the filters so quickly that I was replacing them every month or even more often. Adding this spin-down filter ahead of the rest of my filtration system made a HUGE difference. It captures a large amount of the sediment before it reaches the other filters and automatically flushes the debris from the system. Since installing it, my replacement filters now last at least three months, which has saved me both time and money. Customer support was also OUTSTANDING. I had questions about extending the drain line and choosing between the 50- and 100-micron filter screens. Nick took the time to explain the differences and recommended the best option for my setup. He was knowledgeable, patient, and very helpful. iSpring has built an excellent product, and I highly recommend it.

Works great - Easy to install - Clean - and Use - 50 Micron
A Great pre-filter. I installed this when I moved into my new house with a Well system. The Well is rather old and while it is free of any bacteria or other nasties the water has a bunch of clay sediment in it. I have only basic plumbing knowledge soldered a pipe or two, fixed some leaks with shark bite connectors, and installed a sink or two and this was very easy if you plan out your install. There are many diagrams and recommendations online for diy, just make sure to install shut off valve before and after the filters as well as a bypass. I put this ahead of an I spring 3 (Sediment, Carbon, Heavy metal )stage 20 " sediment filter, followed by a UV light to kill anything left behind and I didn't want to have to replace these filters all the time (thus the pre-filter) I live on my own so my water usage is lower than most families, but with this filter for instance I average only need to replace my sediment filter every 1.5 years, rather than the usual 6 months. My carbon filter is also still is in almost new condition when I checked at nearly 2 years. Unfortunately, I don't have a Gallon count, so I am unsure of the exact usage. The only thing I would probably do differently if I had to set this up all over would likely be to is to order the 100 micron filter rather than the 50. I have pretty sediment filled water, so the filter can clog up very fast with the smaller size. I should let the rest of my filters do more work as intended as currently the pre filter can clog up faster than the automatic flush can clean it at times (flushes daily for 15 seconds). This can temporarily drop my water pressure significantly until I manually flush it, or clean the filter myself. Also, if your water is high in clay type sediment, it doesn't always flush out properly from the filter, so you end up having to manually clean out the filter on a monthly basis to keep your water pressure up. The built-in scraper is mostly useless as well unless you have large chunks of sediment as there is too large of a gap between it and the filter.

Recommend this over any non-auto flush devices
This filter does cut out a lot of the debris before hitting my 3 stage filter system. Flushes automatically and can be set at different intervals depending on how dirty your water is. I did have some issues with the auto flush mechanism not turning all the way off after the cycle but got on the phone with Robert with customer support and he stepped in to troubleshoot and get me another device since this one was having issues.

UPDATED: Beware of water or moisture in the auto flush module
I'm editing this review to reflect the outstanding customer service from iSpring, specifically from Robert who helped me get a replacement module. I understand sometimes things happen, and although I think there can be improvements made to the module to prevent water ingress, I can find no fault with the company and their willingness to stand behind their products. We have a well and deal with sediment in our water. This was a lifesaver! I was replacing string filters every couple of weeks so I finally decided to give this a try. Instantly saw an improvement in the rest of my water system. The auto flush feature lived up to all the hype. Until today. The screen was black. Our water enters the house in an unfinished room of the basement so it's just the original stacked stone walls and dirt floor. The humidity can run high in the summer so I'm not sure if that is what killed it but somehow water got into the housing of the circuit board. I repair a lot of electronics and actually deal with water ingress in very sensitive equipment in my line of work so I disassembled the unit to dry everything out and clean any corrosion. No luck. The DC adapter still gives a good 4.9v, with that and fresh batteries the beeper sounds and E0 is displayed on the LED screen. I replaced the push button, cleaned all the pads that I could see had any trace of water....nope. I don't even know how the water got in. There was no sign of water in the battery compartment on top nor on the top of the circuit board. All the water was at the bottom. Not sure if the valve motor is still good because I can't get the thing to power on correctly. Now my spin down filter is a dumb filter with no easy way of flushing it. Its frustrating to have to replace the module only after 3 months but the company stood behind the product and Robert from their customer service department sent me a new module almost immediately after I sent in my receipt. And for what it's worth, it's super simple to remove and re-install. Overall, decent product, great company.

ispring whole house system
I bought ispring’s WSP100ARB Spin Down Sediment Filter, WCF200K Whole House Filter, WCS45KG Whole House Filter, UVF55FS Whole House UV Filter. After installing the system, water quality improved significantly — hardness is gone, mineral content is much lower, and it’s clearly protecting our appliances. Lab tests before and after confirm the softener is working as expected. What really stood out was the customer service. Francis was fantastic. They were knowledgeable, patient, and went out of their way to help me over email. You can tell they genuinely care about making sure customers are taken care of. Highly recommend both the product and dealing with Francis!

Works well
We got this as the first layer in our whole-house water filtration system. It works great, was simple to install, doesn't leak, designed to fit 1" as well as a 3/4" system, flushes as advertised, and seems like it will last us a long time. I do think it was a bit pricey for us, but I also think that if it lasts, then it will have been a good purchase because it will keep the next filter from having to take on an unnecessary load.

Game Changer!!!
Excellent for removing particles 50 microns and up. The auto flush feature (mine is set to trigger daily, for ninty (90) seconds) and built-in filter scrubber takes the hassle out of full filter maintenance, and reduces the intervals before requiring maintenance. The public water quality in my country (Trinidad and Tobago) is terrible. My previous first stage, five (5) micron sediment filter, requires replacement every three (3) to five (5) days. By adding a spin down sediment filter at the first stage, my five (5) micron sediment filter's lifespan has been extended to roughly two (2) weeks. Now this doesn't sound like much of an improvement, but at $30TTD per sediment filter, changed ever three (3) or so days, and consideration for the time spent monitoring and changing filters, this is a game changer for me. About two (2) weeks in, I needed some help understanding how the built-in filter scrubber mechanism worked. I reached out to support and John was more than willing to help. Six (6) months in, the seal for the reusable filter had stretched a bit from frequent maintenance intervals. John came to the rescue again by sending me a replacement cartridge. Thank you for the excellent after sales support John. I am completely satisfied. I hope iSpring builds a new iteration where the built-in filter scrubber operates automatically when the auto flush is engaged.

Great Product!
Great product and great customer service. I was having quite a bit of clogging and I spoke with JOHN and customer support. They sent me a spare filter and also gave me instructions how to maintain and service them on a regular basis. I changed the rinse time to about 90 seconds and it really improves the filters ability to manage the course sediment. It’s a great product.

Excellent product and even better customer service!
After years of replacing disposable filter cartridges every week and sometimes more often, we finally decided to try one of these spin down flushable filters. We were very impressed with the quality of the iSpring filter... straightforward installation and operation, and it works extremely well. A little too well in our case... we should have gone with the larger micron cartridge as it plugged up several times daily because of all the debris in our water supply. But we contacted customer service (US based, big thumbs up) and Julius was fantastic... they sent out the 100 micron replacement, even shipped free of charge to Canada. The larger micron cartridge works so much better for us. With the automatic flush set to once per day we have no more plugging. However, if you have a lot of debris or sediment I recommend going with the larger WSP-ARJ model which come with up to a 200 or even 500 micron cartridge. Spring and fall are worse times with our artesian well and we may need to do that yet. I wish we would have contacted iSpring beforehand and explained what we required, as I'm sure they would have advised us what was best. I must say there are not too many companies that impress me these days but this is definitely one of them. We may be expanding our water filtration system in the future and will not hesitate to buy from iSpring again, and of course highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality product and service to back it up.

Quality and innovative water filter
The catchment area for our private water supply filters through extensive peat hillsides and results in high amounts of particulates and quite strong tannin colouration. The high particulate levels mean that we have to change our 30 micron and 5 micron disposable every month or so. This is rather costly. So we decided to try adding a 50 micron iSpring spin down filter to "protect" the next stage filters from getting clogged too quickly. We bought the iSpring WSP50ARB Spin Down Sediment Water Filter in Nov 22 and it has now been operational for a few weeks. Pros: Excellent quality, great innovation, superb customer service (Canada to Scotland). Very easy to install (although NPT threaded connections aren't quite as common in the UK). The digital control unit is very straightforward to set-up, and the automatic spin down operation easily cleans the sediment that is collected by the filter. It is a bit too soon to judge how well it protects the next stage of filtering. But, nonetheless, I would wholeheartedly recommend it! Cons: absolutely none. Please note: the iSpring WSP50ARB Spin Down Sediment Water Filter is not designed to remove tannin colouration from water supplies. I have to employ an additional filtration stage to need this requirement.

Good for sediment filtration
Does the job but if you have sand in your water it will get clogged and you will have to manually clean it, the plug is not 3 pin UK its 2 pin US
