Hychika Mini circular saw.
This tool seems well designed and made and itโs easy and safe to use. A 6mm strip cut from an 18mm thick teak board was clean and smooth using the wood blade provided. The depth catch and power trigger worked well together.

Ideal for people who don't own power tools
Cuts effortlessly. As you can tell from the size and price, it's intended for small projects, and as mentioned in the instructions, it might be best to practice on scrap material to get the hang of it before slicing up your expensive material. But: 1) Happy with the product. 2) Happy with the price.Other than an inherited, circular saw, my power tools are a cordless drill, sander, and small handsaw that is challenged unless you need to cut through meatloaf. The minimal sawing I have needed to do over decades of life has been done with various handsaws.I needed an item like this for a project that required cutting multiple boards. This item is easy to use. Solid. Seems idiot-proof regarding safety. You must push two buttons to fire this up, and the handle is not small. It's 8.5 inches in circumference, although the two buttons are about only six inches apart.I don't have big mitts and I have no trouble holding this and cutting straight while activating both triggers.I suspect if you wear a small size in a glove, it could be a problem. It's light enough that I would have used it for some overhead cutting if I hadn't been concerned about hitting some nails, which is usually a bad outcome for a saw. There's a guide that can be attached for straight lines. Quite useful if you are, say, cutting a few inches length-wise off a long board. If you're cutting a 24"x24" board down the middle, you will need to follow your pencil line.Good lighting for that project will be helpful because there's a very narrow "window" that allows you to see your pencil line. That might be a demerit if you are doing a lot of cutting with boards that don't allow you to use the guide. Not cordless. Important to note, and it is not advertised as such. Cord is sufficiently long - certainly 8 feet - that you likely won't need an extension cord.

Does not have variable speed
I asked amazon alexa "is the motor variable speed". The answer was yes, but the unit I recieved is NOT variable speed. I bought it for cutting plastic sheets. I will try it out and if it does not cut satisfactory, I will ask for a return due to alexa's reply. It appears to be an Amazon Alexa issue rather that the product description.

For VERY exerpeinced users ONLY.
I'm a fairly large guy, with very big hands and a LOT of experience using power tools. I have over 55 years of dealing with power tools of all kinds. It's ONLY because of that, can I make this thing work for me.It's big, heavy, and VERY awkward to use. I can palm a basket ball, and my grip strength is over 100 PSI, and this makes hanging from the rafters by my fingertips seem easy by comparison. I can't see how someone smaller than a XL glove-wearer with an above average grip strength could possibly use this safely. To use requires a button first be pushed on the top front to release the spring-loaded platform (previously adjusted to the depth you want). Then have to press down on your work to keep the platform up so the blade remains exposed to cut. Next, you push back on one of two triggers (either one will do) underneath to start the blade spinning, and then finally you begin to cut once the blade is at full speed. The awkward part is doing all of that with one hand. I don't recommend you use two hands with it, since you should keep one hand free to balance yourself as you watch where it's cutting.Another down-side is that this is extremely LOUD, so ear protection is mandatory whether inside or out - assuming you want to be able to hear when you're 50.It's for straight cuts only, and you can't angle those cuts. There is no laser guide to see where you're going so you have to mark your work and hope for the best. Your work will ALWAYS have to be clamped down to get this to cut without your work moving all over hell due to the pressure keeping the platform up so the blade is exposed. It cuts to a maximum depth of 1 inch (25 mm). The accessories are OK, though the guide is pretty fragile. To sum up, I have jigsaws that are lighter and more maneuverable. This will not do a credible curved cut, simply because of the limitations of the weight, and size, that makes it difficult to use. Because of the awkwardness of it due to the size and weight, I do not recommend using the vacuum attachment. It's affixed to a flexible hose but managing that hose while cutting and making sure what you're cut straight and on the line might be more than most people can deal with.If you're a pro, and this looks good to you, you probably won't lose fingers using it. If you're a hobbyist who's looking for a faster way to cut things other than by hand and want to try this as your first moderately powerful power tool, don't get this. Try something else that has a much smaller body so you can get a very firm grip on it. That huge body is primarily the issue with it. Slim it down, look for one lighter in weight and you should be OK.You won't be OK with this.I wouldn't recommend this to a friend unless they've done commercial construction for a few years.

Great budget saw for whatever you throw at it
I have a rule about buying tools -- if it's something that I only need for one project, I don't go out and buy the most expensive, brand name version of the tool right away. If I break the budget version I buy for the project, then I go buy the expensive one rather than replace again with the cheaper.I bought this to do a small garage project and the tool absolutely exceeded my expectations. I do not anticipate ever having to buy a more expensive version. This thing is solidly built, does not feel "cheap" or dangerous (which is always a big concern with budget power tools!) and feels like it will last through many future projects to come. I only got it to use on wood, the small form factor makes it so easy to zip through material and get into areas you wouldn't be able to get into with a large circular saw. But since I was curious, after using for the original project, I tested it cutting some tile and it worked surprisingly great for that. Maybe I will have to do a tiling project now!All in all, great tool for the price, I'm definitely satisfied with it. And it has an added surprise advantage: nobody would steal it on a job site because they'd go for the more recognizable brands first!

Cuts well; need time to practice before using.
I found this saw was good at cutting a fine line. It did however take a bit of getting use to as it is a plunge type device that pivots at the frontYou can set a depth of cut but there is no way to lock in at that depth to avoid the need to plunge.I found that clamping a straight guide block to run the saw plate against works best. It is fairly lightweight and easy to hold while cutting. There is a safety lock on top that you need to press in order to plunge and a control under the handle to turn it on.It came with 2 blades (3-3/8"), a diamond cutoff wheel (3-3/8") and a nice soft carry case.I took one star off for the poorly installed screws on the glide plate that marked my wood with a gouge. I had to take a grind stone and grind off the protruding part of the screws and this worked well.

Blade Size is hard to find
The blade for replacement is rare and doesn't regular size.
