Casio Mudmaster Master of G Watch GGB100

Bought for me as a gift. I absolutely love this watch. It has the look and feel of a proper g shock, really sturdy, and good size. This model has a sensible amount if features, I particularly wanted one with a compass -this feature works really well, and I use it to check my navigating compass. I also like the high/low pressure and sunrise/sunset times as I use these for fishing. Other features like step counter and altitude I don't really use, although I have used the drop pin feature which you can use to navigate back to, but in reality as you need to be connected to your phone to use it, you probably have a map app that can do this just as well. The casio app has recently been updated and improved, and automatically syncs and updates the time for you. I don't use the app for much else, other than occasionally adjusting settings or alarms (you can do this using the watch buttons too). I do find that when manually connecting the watch via Bluetooth that it drops out very easily, keeping the watch and phone literally next to each other helps,as does taking the phone case off, but the connection is pretty weak. The display is great, lots of customizable info available, and the digital and analogue display looks really cool, the light is really bright, and can be operated with the large push button or set to automatically come on with a flick of the wrist. Battery life is estimated at 2yrs, mines lasted a bit longer, when I read the manual the battery life allows for the assumption that the various features are used quite heavily which explains why I've only had to replace mine recently at 2.5 yrs from new. The watch was still working and not showing any low battery indicator, but the hands started not keeping sync with the digital display-replacement fixed this so it's obviously one of the first signs of low power. I paid £40 for battery replacement and pressure testing, I've watched some videos of replacement and it looked straightforward, but I didn't want to risk screwing up an expensive watch (Although I may d.i.y it in future). According to the guy in the shop its the analogue display that takes up a lot of the battery Power, my dad has a similar gshock that's only digital and his lasted 5+years-so i reckon he's right. Overall I think this watch is brilliant, it has everything and more that I want in a watch, and I've worn it every single day 24/7 for 2.5 years, it's taken a fair few knocks while backpacking, fishing and through general wear and tear, and it still looks absolutely brand new. Definitely recommend!

A found this watch was great with multiple functions all went well until the battery was changed. The time didn't adjust with the app,manual adjustments failed to align the analogue dial with digital clock. I viewed many online videos on this aspect but try as I might I couldn't get the times aligned the best I managed was the analogue clock was 10 minutes behind the digital. Had enough so back to my old watch.

At first I'm having second thoughts if this is fake or genuine casio watch due to its low price compare to other seller, but when it arrived, it was a genuine casio G SHOCK GGB 100 Mudmaster. And lastly, received the item two days after I placed the order, and it comes in good packaging. I will definitely recommend and buy from this seller ozdigitalwatch.

Edit - 9/25/25 - it's $245 now. I paid more for my All Black Rangeman. Now almost $60 cheaper then what I paid. EDIT - this is listed for $258 right now. If you’ve been waiting - ive never seen it that low. I bought this to splurge on something for myself, and I’m really happy with it. My favorite G shock and ive been looking at mudmasters for a while now. It does a whole bunch of things that ill never use, but having the app to change alarms and settings on the watch by using your phone is much easier then not having it.. The step counter is also kinda fun. Its not very heavy either which is really nice. The solid construction and quality of build is very obvious. I like the orange band which i wasnt sure i would. Most of my other watches are all black and the orange color adds some nice detail and makes it stand out. I was originally planning on buying an all black model, but I’m glad i didnt. Ive added a screen protector to mine, which you might notice in the pictures. Yours will not come with that. I work a labor job and I’m not planning on beating the hell out of it, so i do take it off if i know ill be doing something destructive - but it does get bumped every now and then - so if it does get scarred up the bezel is replaceable. I have many G shocks and this is the most expensive one out of them so far. They make plenty of other options if you want something you don’t have to care about. I recommend the square face model if thats what you want. Its a basic watch, easy to read, small, thin, practically weightless and only about $40. This mudmaster is not that. While I’m sure it will hold up to real abuse - i for one dont plan on finding out. I dont wear this everyday since i have others, but so far the screen protector has also held up nicely. That is available on Amazon too. I think i paid $303 for this watch, and now its down to about $280 in the ever changing amazon prices - so keep an eye on the prices if youre not in a rush.
