Elite Montessori Basic Wooden Grammar Symbols with Box

Very sturdy, made Of thick wood pieces and great, vibrant colors. The box is neatly distributed and organized. My 7 yo is loving these and she Ide now engaged in her writing. Before, she was drawing the symbols, having them like this really sparked her writing.

Opened it as soon as I received it. The materials are amazing!! Great quality. Only concerned was that the packaging wasn’t sealed. The box and items it came in was opened. There wasn’t any taping or sealing, so I knew it couldn’t be the delivery company. It doesn’t look tampered with.. packaging wasn’t completed. Nonetheless, glad it came in one piece.

What we like is the early delivery of the product than promised. The finishing is great and of the right child size the children love it.

The entire kit is nicely done. However, the two small blue triangles are the same size. Not a big deal, but also not what we expected.

I purchased this set to use with my son who has layered special needs. I love the wood box the pieces come in and was pleasantly surprised at how nicely packaged all the materials were. The pieces aren't huge, but they are also a nice thickness for children who have fine motor delays. We have already started using these and they are absolutely helping make parts of speech more tangible for my son. The only constructive criticism I have would be to create a slide on lid for more flexible storage options. But overall I'm very happy with this product and would highly recommend.

I am an AMI trained Montessori teacher, so I've worked with these materials a lot from different vendors. The symbols in this box are MUCH larger than I use in traditional Montessori materials and the orange adverb symbol is nearly the same color as the red verb symbol. There should be a greater contrast. Overall, this is adequate, but not great. The larger size makes it difficult to symbolize sentences and phrases. The symbols should be small enough to fit above the words in a phrase. These would not be able to do that easily. Packaging and quality were good.

Each piece was beautiful and durable. Many people have complained in the reviews about extra ‘large article pieces,’ which is misleading- the large light blue triangle is the symbol for nondescriptive adjectives. If your classroom doesn’t use that symbol, simply store it elsewhere. There are an equal quantity of each symbols. The adverbs came orange, not red. Seems like that problem was fixed!
