Great for beginners / intermediate; great value
This keyboard is an excellent bargain for the price. Obviously any keyboard in this price range is not comparable to a real piano that costs thousands of dollars. However, compared to other keyboards in the under $200 range, the quality is great. The sound is good, and the pressure required to press the keys is good. One thing that was particularly important to me is the dimensions of the keys are pretty close to that of a real piano. I have seen some keyboards with miniature keys, but on this product the width of the keys large enough for adult fingers. This keyboard would be great for beginner and intermediate piano students. I took piano lessons for 10 years as a kid, and this keyboard is better than the one that I used for my first three years before my parents bit the bullet and bought a real piano. Since most piano students quit long before they reach intermediate-level music, I think this keyboard is a good financial choice to start with until you know that they're committed to stick with it.

worth it
i bout this about a yeah and a half ago and it still works. All the keys are fine, nothing fell of or malfunctioned for me while using it. It a nice size and the color is pleasing to the eye as well. Though nice it doesn't have all the keys needed as traditional piano, for the price at the time i thought it was a good buy. When considering the the different sounds i can get out of this (which when playing around with it, can be hundreds of sounds that are fun to find) they have a wide variety to fill the sound you and your personality maybe looking for. They have multiple sockets so you can hook it up to the computer or headphones or what have you. Very practical in that sense. The keys kind of stick when playing but i think with more playing that problem will subside as time goes by.

Great enough for a starter, especially for the price.
I bought the Huntington KB61 61-Key Portable Electronic Keyboard as a birthday gift for the boy, as he's expressed an interest in learning to play (and I don't play myself). I'm hardly an expert, but in this case, I'm willing to wager that it's a pretty good deal. I could have paid twice as much for some of the other starter units and a power adaptor (which comes with the KB61), but with money as tight as it is and just not being sure if the desire will be accompanied with some follow-through, that would just be a lot to pay for something. So far, it's received a good bit of use and sounds good for the most part. A few of the instruments (called voices here) sound a little off, but most sound very good (even the piano, which I was fearful wouldn't). It's also got full-sized keys, built-in beats/rhythms, headphone jack (the larger, stereo-sized jack like you'd find on a stereo and recording equipment) and audio-out (RCA). All-in-all, for the money, the Huntington KB61 is a great way to get someone started on a keyboard without hurting your wallet too terribly.

Not even worthy of being a toddler toy....
Seemed like a great deal at first. But after receiving it, I found that this item doesn't even deserve to be labeled as a child's toy with how poor quality it is. The right hand half (middle C and above) has such a faint muddled tone that it's not audible over the left hand keys if they are played. I could play a single left hand key and it would completely drown out everything played in the right hand. All of the keys worked however, I will give it that, but the sound quality is some of the worst I have every come across and made it impossible to play even as just a practice tool. As for the various instrument tones, there was very little difference between them and not a single one of them sounded anything close to what the actual instrument would be. The available selection of programmed beats/rhythms played fine, sounded half decent, and there was a decent variety. The overall volume of the unit was quite horrible as well, there was no middle point, it was either deafening, or mute and one notch up or down on the volume was the difference between the two. Overall this was a horrid purchase and I strongly advise against it. The return and refund were handled great as always due to it being fulfilled by amazon, but that was about the only high point to this purchase.

Great buy for the price!
I bought this keyboard to practice on. I'm a beginner so I didn't need anything fancy. This is a simple keyboard but the sound is good, the keys are easy to play and the key width is comparable to a regular piano, so it's great to practice on. You have the option of recording your play and also to easily turn on sustain/vibrato as well as other electronic accompaniments. You can change the sound of the keys with a lot of different tones that sound pretty realistic, which is nice to keep repetitive practice from getting too boring. There's also the token variety of classic keyboard demo songs. First note : This keyboard does have a jack for headphones, but regular headphones will not fit. Second note: I had to unplug this keyboard when it's not in use because my cats will turn it on and play Hungarian Waltz on loop.

Cheap Piano
First off, this is a cheap, Chinese-made keyboard. The plastic is cheap, the thought behind the design is cheap, and the end result (your playing) will probably sound cheap. That said, it does have a few nice features which are worth discussing. There are 98 or so sounds to play with (at least two sound like repeats), most of which are actually pretty decent sound quality. It is a big keyboard, but very light if you're on the move. The power cord could be a little bit longer, but it's not a show stopper. FYI, the headphone jack is not stereo-size (your average US headphone jack)... it's more like the end of a guitar cable. You will likely need an adapter to use it. Now, for the bad. As one reviewer mentioned, the record function is basically useless, as the keyboard inexplicably records only one note at a time -- so chords or a series of smooth notes are out of the question. Also, expect lots of interference when a cell phone is around (beeps and squeaks out of the speakers). There are eight drum sounds -- which, again, are basically useless to me, because only one sound will play at a time. I'm a drummer, so I can play complex rhythms with my hands. Not on this keyboard. I hate the sensitivity of the keys. I am an amateur, self-taught piano player, so keep that in mind. But I find the keys too sensitive, and I often hit a lot of extra notes. There are 100 rhythms, but they're mostly lame (and somewhat mislabeled). Oh, and I did not recieve the one showed in the photograph; mine is silver and has slightly fewer buttons. If you can believe it (after that review), I am glad I bought this keyboard. It works for what I'm going to use it for: I'm playing at home, I'm not going to perform with it, my wife and daughter enjoy playing it, and it sure was a bargain. I just wish, since they chose to include those features, that they served some useful function. Make an informed decision. I would give this keyboard a solid two stars if it cost over $100 bucks.

Great Budget Keyboard
This is a great budget keyboard, it came with the power adapter which was my concern and at the time the price was fantastic. The keyboard is not the finest quality however the quality is great for the enthusiast like myself. It is a great keyboard for kids just beginning to learn music. I would recommend it to any family on a budget (who isn't these days), will make a great addition to the family and something everyone can sit around and learn, I would also like to recommend purchasing as well "Alfred's Basic Adult All-in-One Piano Courses" which will give you a good start on learning the piano, the books come with plastic comb and makes it easy to place them on the stand. The comb makes it easy to read as well. Both purchases I have no regrets.

Good for the absolute beginner, not for experienced players
The keyboard is a pretty nice one for the price. At under $70, you can't get much better than this. I do have however, to problems with it. As mentioned by some of the other reviewers, this keyboard does not allow to plug in a sustain peddle. It does have a sustain button, but the actual sustaining occurs for every note and sustains the note for as long as it wants to. If you had a sustain peddle, you could sustain whatever note you wanted for as long as you wanted. My second issue with this keyboard is the lack of touch sensitive keys. In this keyboard, no matter how hard or how softly you press a key, it will always sound the same. In higher-end keyboards, the harder you press the key, the more intense the note comes out. These issues do bum me out, but as this is my first keyboard, I'm giving it four stars. I like the inclusion of 100 voices, but I don't think I'll be using them until I get from being an absolute beginner to a more experienced player. Either way, I'd recommend trying to save some money and buying a higher-end keyboard that has touch sensitivity, but if you're in a tight spot, this'll do well. I have not had any defects with my unit as some of the other reviewers have mentioned. All in all, a nice beginner keyboard.
