SW150 good quality budget subwoofer
Good subwoofer for the price. Good quality bass , perfect for reinforcing low end in stereo setups. Good quality/price. Recommended 👌Ps. This thing is quite heavy for its size which is good sign in this case IMONeed few days to stretch out bass driver suspension to sound best.

Awesome. It made the antique plates on my dresser shake.
5.0 out of 5 starsBass That’ll Shake Your Soul Without the Drama!Folks, this Wharfedale Diamond SW150 Subwoofer is an absolute game-changer for my vinyl sessions. I’ve been cranking my favorite Aaron Lewis albums on repeat, and let me tell you, the low end hits like a thunderclap—deep, clean, and utterly immersive. That 10-inch driver paired with 150W of power? It’s a powerhouse wrapped in a sleek walnut finish that looks right at home on any shelf. No more wimpy bass from my old setup; this thing delivers room-filling rumble without a hint of distortion. Every track feels alive, with lows that vibrate through the floorboards and highs that stay crisp. Setup? Dead simple—just connect and let the magic happen. On the funny side, my cat’s claimed it as her personal throne, lounging like a rockstar during playback, while my downstairs neighbors must think I’m throwing a secret rave (apologies in advance!). For the value, it’s unbeatable—premium sound without breaking the bank.If you want bass that punches above its weight, snag the SW150. My listening game’s forever upgraded!

For £150!? Doesn't get any better!
Just sold my 11 year old Wafedale SW150 (still 100% working) TO BUY THIS! (cause i can)Definitely took some break in (about 15 hours) to sound how I like it, but bass response is great, plays comfortably down to 20hz! Added to my Edifier R1280DBS bookshelf speakers (they have built in reciever)Amazing build quality and pretty heavy, all in all very happy, as I had previous one for 10 years and it still works perfect so I have high expectations! For £150 this is the absolute best value for money you get! Size is perfect to just put and forget.

Got to be the best value Sub at £150
Great sub for the money, I've used it to supplement my Q Acoustics 3020 main stereo speakers which only go down to 60hz (though actually measure at about 50hz with no port plugs and quite near walls), I've set the wharfedale at 75hz to support the speakers upper bass and have it on a low volume so it integrates seamlessly, in a way you wouldn't know there was a sub running until you turn it off, and all of the flesh of the music seems to fall away.Very easy to set up (start with a music spectrum app, there are lots of free ones out there, on your phone and then fine tune by ear afterwards to your own taste)Many years ago I had an REL sub and it was a flabby, boomy thing, quite difficult to integrate seamlessly, this is much tighter and more musical, everything in the mids sounds sweeter too.At the money, if you've got smaller speakers, or even a TV soundbar etc, you really can't go wrong. For the record, the spectrum analysis is showing it reaching down to 35hz on some tracks, giving me a "full range" speaker output.

Theatre effect subwoofer.
This is simply Amazing. It does give me theatre effect. Keep on high frequency and neighbours don’t get the tremors but it’s the best even on lo volumes. I love it. Bear in mind, it needs a lot of space as it’s big and it’s super heavy. It has to be placed only on floor.

Completely stopped working after 6 months. Common problem with this model.
I wish I had read reviews in more detail before I bought this. Other users had mentioned that their subwoofer stopped working suddenly, but I didn't expect it to happent to me. After 6 months of daily use, my subwoofer completely stopped working.I suspect is has something to do with the auto-power function. A few months before breaking down, I noticed that the auto-power function wasn't always reliable, so I decided to switch it off. I'm not sure what made me give the feature another try some time later, but I did. After it had stopped working, I called the seller for some assistance. The person I was speaking to immediately identified which subwoofer it was based on me just telling him my subwoofer has stopped working. They are well aware of the Wharfedale Diamond SW150 just completely breaking down after a few months. It's shocking that that they're even continuing to sell it. They told me they could send it off for repair which could take up to 6 weeks due to the delays caused by covid (can't believe they're still using that excuse). Since I didn't want to deal with a faulty speaker and wait almost 2 months for a repair, I decided to reach out to Amazon for a refund instead. If you're willing the take the risk of having your subwoofer break down not long after buying it, this subwoofer is definitely worth your money. The sound quality is pretty good. I'm not much of an extreme audiophile, but it definitly fit my needs when used for general music/movie consumption.

Excellent quality subwoofer at a bargain basement price!
I was a little concerned about buying this sub after reading some of the reviews and seeing its very low price. To my delight however, on integrating it into my Monitor Audio and Yamaha 5.1 system, I found things very much to my liking. This was bought to replace an ageing and failing REL Strata 2, which was known to be a higher end product in its day. It’s beautifully made and obviously a very good quality product. It certainly didn’t disappoint me in the sound department either. Whilst not sounding maybe quite as crisp as my REL, the inbuilt amplifier responds excellently to sharp bass transients, creating exciting results with good movie soundtracks. There appears to be little or no flab, overhang or port chuff to the sound when connected to the subwoofer output on my Yamaha amplifier. I haven’t tried connecting it via the high level speaker inputs. Brilliant bargain buy! Would highly recommend.
