JNH Lifestyles 2SBR1 Ergonomic S-Shape Backrest (2 Pack)

My order arrived quickly and in perfect condition. The backrests are well-made, comfortable, and work perfectly with my sauna. I’m very satisfied with the quality and the overall experience.

We use these backrests with the JNH 2 person FIR sauna. You can place the backrests flush against the heating unit so that your back is close to the heater - but not touching it, or you can place it at an angle if you want to sit in a reclined posture. To prevent the backrest from sliding back when in a reclined position, I have placed a 1"x 4" piece of pine lumber (44" long) against the back wall and have the back rests butted up against the 1x4 which is lying flat. You can use a 1x6 if you want a bigger recline. In fact I cut the 44" piece into two halves so that my wife and I can independently control the amount of recline we each have. If one person wants to use the sauna and wants to sit with the legs up on the bench, then place the backrest horizontally against the side wall. It will fit perfectly with a nice incline.

Despite a couple poor reviews saying these don't fit JNH saunas, I went ahead and ordered, and as I suspected they fit perfectly. They work great for my husband (200lbs) & I (120lbs), meaning we can sit back and enjoy rather than sitting up straight the whole session. It's unfortunate that some reviews seem to be given by the competition just to sway people from buying, but glad I gave them a go and saved some cash.

Got this for an add-on Christmas gift for my mom-- dad got her a two person sauna. It keeps you from resting straight on the heating panels in the sauna (which aren't burning hot to the touch anyways, so you COULD sit against them comfortably I suppose). The HAVE to sit flush to the wall though, you can't really adjust them to have a different angle-- otherwise they just slip right back to being flush. This means you have to use these by sitting ramrod straight. Not terribly comfortable to me. You could remedy this by putting little silicone or non-slip feet on the bottoms so it would stay in a different position. Then again, maybe my posture just sucks :) Quality-wise, they're pretty good.

Ok this fits my JNH Joyous 2 Person infrared sauna that I purchased in 2015 perfectly! They fit snugly over the panels and I can lean against them comfortably with the sauna on. Wood color matched perfectly as well. I have no problems with them sliding either as some other reviewers have noted. They fit securely over the panels with very little free space. Very secure over the side panels as well. I am thinking these are also helping me sit up straight while using the sauna too. I'm sure the environment would amplify the negative effects of sitting on the spine. So that is just another positive result of using these. It feels great to lean against them with a straight back, eyes closed, and sweat!

Made well and delivered fast. Personally we do not care for these due to the dowell rods hitting the spine. We did not find them comfortable. We ordered the ergonomic type from the company direct. They have flat slats and include a neck rest.

Worth the money to sit more comfortably in my sauna, while keeping myself off of the heaters. Very comfortable to lean against. I use one to sit cross ways in my sauna while using the other to keep my leg off of the heater. Used in conjunction with the similar neck rests is awesome. Easy to use and situate for the situation.

We were looking forward to these to help with relaxing and lounging in the sauna. Quality is very nice, they matched our sauna perfectly, and built sturdy. Unfortunately, they did not meet up to our expectations. they slide when trying to rest against them . so then you are pressed up against the wall and is not comfortable at all. so functionality is not good. I will be returning them. Value for our money could have gone a cheaper rout but they are made by the same company as our sauna, so figured they would have worked better.

I'm 6'2", 230 lbs. and find this backrest to be very comfortable in height and width. The wood is smooth and, so far, the backrest seems to be well made. The arc is not too extreme and makes for a much better sauna experience than leaning against a flat wall. It can be used in 2 positions: with the lumbar at the bottom; or at the top. If you find it slips when you lean on it, simply hold the bottom in place until your weight is fully against the backrest, at which point it won't move. My only negative comment is that I wish I could have bought just one, because that's all I needed.

We have a small, two-person infra-red sauna. My Husband has some serious back issues and benefits from sauna use every day. We haven't been able to sit back fully as the elements have very thin barriers around them and we've often burned ourselves when we've relaxed too much - these backrests are perfection! They are very well made, real craftsmanship! They are sanded down beautifully and there are no rough edges to catch your towel or skin on. The wood is beautiful. As someone else mentioned they do fall forward when you stand up, so we secured them to the frame of the element barrier - problem solved. My Husband has to be VERY careful about how he sits (spinal stenosis and spondylolisthesis) and he has commented that the curvature of these backrests are absolutely perfect for him. It has made his sauna time much more enjoyable! Highly recommend!

Fits perfectly in my Dynamic Sauna from Costco. Work on the sides too when I put my feet up. Great price!

It took me a little time to understand how best to position this . Initially it kept slipping, but gradually I realized its not meant for complete reclining. Its a little uncomfortable I pad my lower back with a small towel

The shape is good and it is versatile for leaning on. The only thing is that it is hard on the back. But then, what else would you expect, since it is made from wood.
