With three different height levels, you can put your front tire on a level that works best for you. I should say that, even with the sprinting, it holds the front wheel steady and I am confident of avoiding an indoor crash (they said it couldn't be done, but I've already done it-- once lol). In the past, my other blocks are cracked within one season and I have to buy a new one. Each one was roughly $10-$15 bucks. This was a little more, but the durability is well worth the price. For the first time, I don't have to buy a new one at the end of the season. I purchased a new trainer and added the standard trainer block that came with it to my wood plank set up, again the stability was ok, it could have been a bit better. I saw this trainer block and it took me awhile to order it because of the price. I know there is another popular brand block that is a bit more even. Any way this works very nicely. It does not move around, I have it on a carpeted floor and I found the height I wanted, hence no need for the wood plank set up. I like how there is a good amount of bike tire length that fits in the block and how the block hugs the tire, I think that is what makes the big difference. From time to time I stand up and pedal, I am careful but I feel secure in doing this. This piece of equipment was worth it. I got the blue one.
