That is what sold me on my decision to purchase yours.** A: I apologize for the confusion. We are based in Jacksonville, FL. However, some of our products are manufactured in other countries. These charcoal bags happen to be manufactured in China and shipped to you from warehouses right here in the USA. **Q: Does this product eliminate odors by toilets?** A: Probably so. I had smoke smell in my RV. So I placed 4 bags in my RV and bingo, within 2 days all the smoke smell was gone. No more smell. I highly recommend these Bamboo Charcoal Bags. **Q: This looks like charcoal from the grill. Can I literally grind up chunks of Kingsford and get the same result?** A: Technically, yes. But, regular charcoal won't be as effective as the activated charcoal in these bags. Activated charcoal is produced at higher temperatures than regular charcoal which makes it much more porous. Activated charcoal is more effective at absorbing and filtering bad odors and air particles. **Q: will they work to absord musty and moldy basement odors?** A: I would start with getting some DampRid bags and hanging them all around. The bags are moisture absorbers, and they have a nice smell. These air purifying bags will help eliminate odor, but not deal with moisture. If you have a lot of mold, you may need to get some mold remover and wash the entire basement down, as mold can be dangerous. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Immediately impressed *by on Reviewed in the United States September 16, 2026* My cat's litter box is right at the entryway of my apartment, in a little alcove across from the bathroom, leading to a short hallway that opens onto the kitchen. Even though it's not an enclosed space per se, it doesn't get any air circulation at all. The apartment has no central HVAC, and my portable units don't really reach over there, so it's just hot stagnant air around the litter box. That means that it gets stinky over there between cleanings, especially in the summertime. To boot, my orange boy cat is real dumb and doesn't bury anything. So even though it's a covered box that I scoop regularly, it still just ends up being real stinky over there most of the time. That's bad enough, but I also keep coats and bags and shoes in a rack next to the box, and was starting to worry that the soft fabrics might be absorbing the odor and I'd be nose blind to it. So I decided finally to look into a solution. There's nowhere over there to put an air purifier, so I went for these bags. I hung one on either side of the box, and one in among the coat rack. I had my doubts they'd make any difference, but within the first 24 hours the odor is completely erased from the entryway! I even checked and there was some fresh uncovered kitty business in the box, yet I smelled nothing. This must be magic! I'm beyond impressed.I also hung two in my walkin closet that I keep the door always closed, so the air stagnates and it smells like a storage facility in there. There too now is zero odor. And lastly, I hung one in the restroom over the human toilet and tested out with the door closed and skipping the exhaust fan to see how it would do in there. Same result!I appreciate that these also help with humidity in smaller enclosed spaces.I'm a bit unsure about "recharging" them in the sun every two months. I don't get direct sun anywhere in my apartment. I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. I'll update if and when I have anything to report. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It worked for my master bath. *by on Reviewed in the United States September 3, 2025* I moved into a beautiful apartment across town where the rent is expensive and the communities are gated. However my neighbors cook curry 3 times a day. I’m sure the smell is good in their home but by the time it seeps through and enters into my home, it smells foul. It’s a terrible odor, it doesn’t even smell like food by the time it reaches me. The place where it enters my home is threw my master bath and master bedroom. After dinner time the foul odor can linger in my home all night. My child has asthma. So Fragrances, air fresheners, plug ins, diffusers ….are a no. I have been opening all the windows and running the ceiling fan which is a great solution. It works. However I can’t use that same solution for winter. I hung 2 bags in the ceiling on the AC vent & within 1 hour I could tell the odor was leaving. This gives me hope about maintaining a fresh smelling home. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absorbs odor *by on Reviewed in the United States September 24, 2026* I though initially it has a subtle fresh smell. This little bag absorbs odor. We recently moved to a new apartment and the cleaners/owner sprayed the carpeted stairs with a very strong air spray that it hurts our nose so we hang a couple of these in the stairs. It came with the hooks as well so that is a plus. ## Frequently Bought Together - Charcoal Odor Absorber for Strong Odor (6 Pack, 100g each), Bamboo Charcoal Air Purifying Bag, Basement Musty Odor Eliminator Deodorizer, Activated Charcoal Odor Absorber for Closet, Shoe, Car - Arm & Hammer Fragrance Free Moisture Absorber and Odor Eliminator, 14 oz.
