The new Giro Section combines the look of a traditional skate-style helmet with the light weight of in-mold technology for urban commuting, dirt jumping, and trail-riding. Review: Head first on concrete - To keep you reading this helmet saved my life literally. But first of all, I'll mention looks, it's super light, probably lighter than a notebook, low profile, comes with enough passing to make it fit perfectly. Now a few days ago I was riding on a bit of a downhill downtown, I was going pretty fast I didn't slow down and wanted to avoid a bridge and go on the sidewalk, I thought I could just jump on top of the crack in the road but my back tire got caught and I flipped my bike falling head first into concrete, I rolled and the bike rolled on top of me. It was a really hard hit but my head felt nothing, no pain, nothing. My head was almost not involved it was my knee where I got most injured but nothing broken. So I highly highly recommend this helmet and now that I've experienced a hard hit I'm never buying a different one. Review: Stylish, comfortable helmet - I got this helmet as a replacement for a 'one size fits all' helmet that has an adjustable plastic strap. This helmet was a major improvement because it comes in different sizes, so it fits snuggly on my head. The cons of this helmet are both the price and the fact that you have to choose the correct size. This helmet is slightly more expensive than what I think it is worth, which is why I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Furthermore, you have to choose the correct size, which can be difficult. Although I have a helmet that is the right size and it fits extremely well - much better than the adjustable one size fits all. Now for the things I like about the helmet. I am a big fan of the nice, smooth matte look that the helmet has. I was never a fan of the shiny "racing" helmets for casual riding, but this helmet is stylish and fits well. Additionally, it seems well built and sturdy so I would definitely trust this helmet to protect me if I crashed.

Great helmet. Amazed how few people wear helmets ...
Great helmet. The helmet is deceptively lightweight but makes me feel safe and protected when riding. I used some of the extra foam in the package to add cushion because the helmet was a bit too loose. Helmet is well ventilated and only give me helmet hair after heavy riding. I like the color (gunmetal) and the matte finish really looks crisp. I'm amazed how few people wear helmets these days. Reasons may be: gives helmet hair, hot and sweaty (low ventilation), or that it looks "uncool". Well, this helmet (made by a great brand) solves all those problems so you can protect your noggin. Remember to grab a bike lock too so you don't lose your bike! We like this one from Amazon: http://amzn.to/2kQ4hIZ Would definitely recommend the helmet.

Better helmets are worth a bit extra!
Fantastic helmets!!! Purchased one for my 11 year old and one for my four year old. Both are small. But with the optional pads they give, both fit wonderfully. They are light weight, thick, strong and pretty! I've purchase many 20$ walmart and target bell brands and similar ant this is so much better . Kids love them and I feel they are safer in these than anything they've worn before!

Perfect in Every Way!
This helmet is just what I was expecting! The color matches exactly what was shown on Amazon.com and the quality is fantastic! Sizing is perfect and this fits snugly on my head. Not to mention, it doesn't look like the other non-flattering helmets I might have chosen. Previous reviews mention that it makes your head look huge, but I disagree. It's a helmet, it's supposed to protect your head and should be somewhat bulky. This is a little bulky, but definitely doesn't look bad when it's on. All in all, this is a great helmet and will definitely be purhasing more Giro brand helmets in the future.

Awesome, for cool days
Got this for when I battle car traffic on my fixie. My previous experience with helmets was with a HEAVY kevlar one I wore 12 hrs a day in 130degF in Afghanistan. So I have zero complaints about the fit, comfort & weight. Love it. I wear it around the house to mess with the wife. She says it looks like she married a special person. I'm very special. Comes with thin, medium, thick front & back pads. I use a med pad in back(hugs base of my skull) and a thin one in front. Like a glove. Vents work. Just not enough of em when things get heated, so it's great for cold days and evenings. It has great coverage. I dig the straps; one side red the other white. But the white strap easily shows sweat&dirt afterwards. Now the shell . . who the hell is Paul B? Some MTB kid I think. I planned on painting it with a water based, styrofoam safe spray paint. But I'm too worried about degrading the foam. So I just scrapped off the stupid paul b skull (not pictured) with a razor blade. The decals are on there pretty good. Got used to the rest of it, little sprockets w/ diamonds in them. Whatever, I'm not looking at a mirror when I ride. Great price, good protection, lightweight, I'm happy.

Very comfortable, cool looking
Neat helmet! As a guy who didn't wear helmets because they looked goofy, this one is a nice balance. Muted color, BMX styling. BTW, it is ENORMOUS. It looks very large on my head, and I have a large head. That being said, the style works and I feel much safer riding at 30+MPH, this helmet covers the back of your head and feels well constructed.

Uncomfortable and poor fit
I did not like this helmet (Giro Section Bike/Multi-Sport Helmet, Brown Leather, Medium) at all! Using the sizing guidelines on the manufacturer's website, I decided that the medium size was right for me. Upon receipt of the helmet, I was severely disappointed because the helmet was so ugly. In addition to the poor aesthetics from a materials perspective, the helmet fit poorly, was uncomfortable, and looked like I had an enormous piece of plastic on my head due to its extremely bulky size. This helmet was the exact opposite of what I wanted, so I returned the helmet to the seller and decided to resume my search for an attractive helmet that was comfortable and had a slim-ish looking fit. I eventually settled on the Nutcase Chocolate Milk Matte Bike Helmet, and the difference in quality was enormous. If you are looking for an attractive helmet that is comfortable and long-lasting, I would definitely recommend the Nutcase over this hunk of garbage. Stay safe!
