Charges my Cell phone or runs Raspberry Pi 4 < v1.2 (not implemented right USB-C)
I bought 3 of these adapters and they all work, and work the same way. They do what I need, 5V @ >1A.Pro:— Runs Raspberry Pi 4 @5W, required for boot-up and heavy processing (all 4-cores @100%)— Works with Raspberry Pi 4 Pre-v1.2 USB-C connectors (CC lines wired together, not separate as required, newer RP4's do it right)— Convenient small size, light weight— Will charge my cell phone using a µ-USB adapter— Provides the higher current needed to run the RP4 reliably. My laptop Type-A USB ports don't provide enough power, and my pre-v1.2 RP4 won't power off the USB-C port, because it is wired incorrectly. This makes this higher power adapter necessary for my application(s).Con:— USB-C is 5V only, won't negotiate to higher voltages.— No real con, except the green light on the Ethernet port never lights. I couldn't decide if this is an Ethernet activity light, or a USB-C connected light. Either way, nothing I do makes this light turn on. Wondering what it's for?

Confirmed working on Unifi PoE switch
I have an MR6400 Netgear 5G modem I wanted to run on PoE. This adapter worked with my Unifi USW-Pro-48-PoE switch and powered the modem perfectly. Would recommend.

I bought 2 of those for my Google Wifi(1st Gen) set up. I wanted to mount the routers on the ceiling without having to run extra wires, just one cat 5e and thats it. Plugged my cat5e coming from my poe switch and the router powered up and data connection was strong.

Purchased for home UNIFI system
I have several Unifi wifi cameras on our home security system that I want installed but as one might expect, where I want them I don't have power. Came across these while doing some research and according to the spec sheet, the splitter plugs into the camera and my ethernet cable into the back. Should be quick and easy and a test on my work bench was a success with my Unifi system recognizing and adopting the camera. Saves me a bit of money as the Unifi wired cameras are a bit more and currently out of stock.

Works great with 1st gen Google WiFi
Got these so I could use PoE with 5 x 1st gen Google WiFi points. My house is wired for cat 5E so I was able to power them from a central location using a PoE switch and have a UPS connected to the switch so they don't go out when the power flickers in my rural area. So far it works great and the speeds did not change.

corrupted the PI it was powering, PI now crashes network
worked fine for 5 months no issue, but then the PI it was powering stopped responding, went to troubleshoot and if i connect that PI to my network, my entire network goes down. I assumed the PI failed so i provisioned another, now the new PI behaves the same way. don't buy this

Working great, at least so far!
Mine powered my RPi4 up right out of the bag, and so far, no issues. My Edgeswitch powered it automatically, and shows 1Gb connection.I looked at a lot of case & POE hat options, before seeing the Argon One & deciding that was the way I wanted to go. It doesn't allow for POE though. This isn't quite as sleek, but it is way more versatile!

Works great with the Rak V2 hotspot setup!
I got this to run POE with my Rak V2 hotspot miner. The splitter is compact and plug and play. The cable front the injector plugs right in to the splitter and from there the USB C plugs directly to the hotspot. Clean setup and perfect for outdoor setup allowing the hotspot to be mounted closer to the antenna. So far everything's works and no issues.

Works great with Philips Hue Hubs
I use this with my Philips Hue hubs and it works perfectly. So good to get rid of a bunch of power cables and free up some slots. Have been using them for just on one year now with no problems at all.

Utilisé pour alimenter un Raspberry Pi 4 sans avoir à utiliser de prise électrique (juste un switch ethernet POE). Fait son travail. Pas de perte de performance pour le réseau. Alimentation suffisante pour le Pi et des périphériques USB3 (comme un disque dur sans alim).

Great little things ! they convert POE to 5V USB C, you cant get different types also POE to barrel plugs of different sizes and different USB types, there handy on the device end, they do run quite hot 35/40 Celsius ambient temperature defendant of course, I have around 2/3 of them and I have not had any fail over the past year, there good value for money.

Sto realizzando un piccolo sistema di videosorveglianza per una seconda casa.Per fare sia da router che da server per le telecamere ho comprato un Raspberry Pi 4 da 2GB (qualsiasi altra versione sarebbe stata adatta allo scopo ma quella era la più economica).Avendo già tutte le telecamere alimentate da uno switch PoE e mi sono detto "tanto vale alimentare anche il Raspberry Pi così e avere solo un cavo di alimentazione che va allo Switch".Sapevo però che i vari HAT PoE fanno aumentare di più di qualche grado la temperatura della scheda e che il Raspberry pi 4 già di per sé non è freschissimo, così ho deciso di optare per questa soluzione esterna.Per ora posso dire che funziona senza problemi e sembra ben costruito.Speriamo nella durata.Aggiornamento: Funziona da mesi ininterrottamente senza problemi.

Für mich ist es einfacher, einen Raspberry Pi 4B mit PoE statt mit einem Netzteil zu betreiben. Ja, es gibt diverse Heads, aber die würden nicht in mein verwendetes Gehäuse passen.Also habe ich mich für den PoE Splitter entschieden, vor allem wegen dem guten Preis.Also Raspberry Pi herunterfahren und den PoE Splitter statt dem Netzteil angeschlossen, kurz später war der Raspberry Pi wieder online und läuft seit dem vor sich hin!Der PoE Splitter wird aktuell etwas mehr als Handwarm und zieht laut Switch (Ubiquity) meistens um die 2,95W. Das Gigabit wird durchgereicht und auf den ersten Blick kann ich keinerlei Einschränkungen feststellen.
