The Gold Cup Authentic Original™ 2-Eye Boat Shoe was created for those who cherish the finer things in life. Uniting premium leather with our signature 360° Lacing System™ and our famous razor-cut Wave-Siping™ outsole, the result is a shoe that gets better with time and represents the craftsmanship and heritage we’ve developed over the past 90 years.

Review: Had the first pair for 10 years. Finally bought a second - My husband originally bought these shoes in college during his sophomore year in 2016. I’ll let you do the math there but he still has them. Have they seen better days? For sure. These shoes should’ve been put out of their misery years ago just from all the trauma of places they’ve been worn because #collegefratboylife. But stay with me here. He would not get rid of them because he said they were still comfortable and they were still wearable. Finally after almost 10 years together I strongly encouraged he at least buy a new pair to be his nice pair and he did. The old pair haven’t been tossed yet (emotional attachment maybe idk) but the new ones are worn far more frequently. They fit well, they’re obviously durable if they can survive my husband’s college days, and they still look decent even after all those years. The second he put on the new ones he said “oh I forgot just how comfy these used to be when I first got them. Wow.” They pack well, are semi lightweight, go with plenty of outfits, and they look great. *** in the photo the one with the darker sole is the original, the sole just has gotten darker from years of wear and from my husband’s roommate spilling something once that never quite came out. The new ones are on the bottom of the photo. ***To clarify, though his original pair are old and worn in, they’re not falling apart, they just look like they have been well worn and he needed a new pair. The material is such a good quality on both pairs. In ten years from now I am sure we will be buying these again

I believe this is my first pair of W for Wide, and I perceive just a little better comfort out of the box. Also, the regular width does stretch a bit with some wear. I read on AI that the W is an extra 5mm but did not try to measure it. Lastly, the Wide is just a small "w" on the box and inside the shoe and is hard to discern but it's there.

It’s difficult ordering shoes online however these Sperry Gold Cups are absolutely the perfect fit. They are superior shoes that feel so comfortable on your feet. This is my third pair of Gold Cups in 30 years. Yes they’re pricey but do the math. I’m always so impressed with their high quality feel and consistent standard of perfection in hand sewn detail.
