Dogtra iQ Mini Rechargeable Waterproof Mini Dog Training E-Collar with Water-Resistant Remote

This is the third Dogtra training collar that I have purchased. I love their products, and they actually work very well. I always have a leash, but it is great to be able to allow my dog off leash, when conditions allow. My dog is four years old and wears the collar every time we go out. He is so well trained, that he almost never requires correction.

I have a different version by the same company and it is outstanding. My dog fitted better in the larger collar so that is the one we kept and gave a 5 star review to. If our fur baby was smaller, this would have been better as the receiver is smaller and lighter. In my opinion these ecollars can be lifesaving for dogs and owners. Especially with rescue or very strong willed dogs. These are not the “shock” collars of old. They are more like a little finger poke that says, pay attention to me.

Simple and easy to use. I would prefer the option of ajustable cloth or leather collar that can be clipped or unclipped

I haven’t used this mini but have had dogtra in the past with a hunting dog. I love that it had 100 settings. I can really adjust it to fit the dog without causing them discomfort.

Great size for a smaller dog. Had a different model for a larger dog. Happy to find something for a small dog from a brand that I trust

This is very heavy and NOT for small dogs. Charging piece on unit broke. Poor value and ineffective.

Have not used this one because I will wait for the training booklet. I have another pup that went to training and he uses one. it works great! It takes some time to get used to and to use properly, but I am pleased with the results. I look forward to my second pup using his.

Works well, it can be a strong buzz for little pups when you use the nick or constant, so be sure to test on yourself to get a sense for what the receiver is putting out at each level. Battery life seems decent. I've liked the dogtra collars for my larger dogs, so figured they would be good for smaller as well. I'm happy with the purchase.

Our girl knows it’s time to follow the rules when she gets her colour on. My only complaint is the IQ mini has a very wide stiff collar that requires a lot cut off for smaller dogs. The buckle is very large and is more cumbersome that the receiver from a comfort standpoint.

Cord for charger was not neatly packed when opened. Looks like the product was previously used and returned. To charge, need to hold the charger to the collar or else it would disconnect. This ruined Christmas for my dog. Now she won't talk to me.
