**Q: Description says it comes with a "4 pin dupont cable" but surely this should come with a 6 pin like its little brother?**
A: yes, it comes with a 6 way cable - 6-way at one end and 6 1-way at the other end.

**Q: Will this work with ambibox or prismatik to create an ambilight project for my monitor? Thanks**
A: I replied originally saying I did not know and that is true.  What it does though is to split the USB data stream into its component parts,  transmit data, receive data and also with the control interfaces. It is a sort of serial port that used be fitted to all PC’s but with individual pin outs.

This is brilliant - all the voltages! I’ve only used the 3.3v and 1.8v (I bought it for the later). Brilliant. Only minor down side is you really need a usb extension cable with a usb-A female at one end - unless your target is right next to your laptop.
