One of the best things I’ve ever used for my period
I’ve been using the Lumma high for a year now and I wont be looking back. I’ve used pads, tampons and cups and this is the best balance of a tampon and a cup in my opinion.it will take 1/2 cycles to get used to it as with any menstrual product but it works great, Easy to put in as it folds thinly (enough for me) and very easy to push behind pelvic bone as you can feel it. No hassle with suction, pain or cramps as I used to have with cups. I cant feel it once its in there just like a tampon. I then just tuck the string in, leaving it out means you can feel it so I wouldn't recommend leaving it out.Catches everything and auto-dump works for me, so going to the toilet means I can empty it without removal. Making day 2 easy for me.Removal is easy because of the ‘string’, no need to bear down or search, the string is right by the entrance so I can easily pull it down, because its flexible, its painless.I wear it by itself or on day 2 I’ll wear a thin pantyliner if I’m out and about and won’t always have a toilet.Would definitely recommend discs for anyone who doesn’t prefer pads and tampons and hasn’t liked cups. It’s comfortable, easy, painless.

Superior to Nixit
Lumma offers a smaller size, while Nixit claims one size fits all - absolutely untrue. Lumma stays in place, pain free, and unlike Nixit does not budge when I sneeze, stand up, etc. I think the rigidity also helps with this, and I still don’t feel it when inserted. I struggle somewhat with occasional leakage, especially after a while, but I have an exceptionally heavy flow. The only other complaint is that it absorbs smell too well. I once soaked in vinegar and then boiled it for 10-15 mins and the smell was still present.

The absolute best
This ones unbeatable. After struggling for ages finding the right product, i finally stumbled on this. Application and removal is easy. The small is perfect for ppl with a short cervix that can't find the right cup. However, the silicone material of the disc doesn't pop back to shape drastically reducing volume.

Acts more like a plug for me, othan a disc
*Update - reduced to 1 star. After using it on my next cycle, it still acts just as a plug, and not very effective one, bad leaks on my first days when cycle is intense, which is why i went for bigger size to accumulate a lot of blood. Now i don’t know if that maybe just doesn’t fit me right, I should have gone for smaller, but bigger is supposed to be for heavier cycle. Anyway, disappointed with all that leakage, have to still wear sanitary pads night and day, and once I remove “the plug”, the blood that was stopped by it (as opposed to accumulated in the disk) is gushing out.I love the idea of the disk instead of tampax. I go to pee all the time and every time to pee i change tampax, ended up using too many of them.*As for the disc, the blood doesn’t seem to accumulate inside it but all around it, some inside it, and some just stopped before the disk gushing out when I remove the disk. It kinda acts more like a plug and not the disk. I’m not entirely sure now if I’m not inserting it correctly, it’s been my first 24 hours with it, I do it according to instructions. I really want it to work!

It was okay I suppose
I've used better menstrual cups, I'm a dab hand now. I think I'll stick to some of the other brands of discs out there..the cord/string could have been longer and I found it difficult to grasp because of the length and it seemed quite slippery. Also I'm used to a more plush medical silicone feel and this is made of the shiny plastic-y sort of material that I wasnt a fan of.

First time user
I bought this disc in size H following the measuring instructions. This was my first time ever using a reusable menstrual product. After a couple of month or research and contemplation I decided to try the Lumma disc. I was very happy with my purchases and it worked very well for me. It is very comfortable most of the time I cannot feel it however sometimes when I focused or use my muscles I am aware of its presence but its not uncomfortable. I did experience auto-dumping everytime I went to the bathroom although I know this is a bonus for some people with a heavily flow, it was not what I was looking for. Due to this I sized down to the M size disc. This solved the problem and in fact feels even more unnoticeable. This product has worked so well for me and I would be happy recommend it to others but I would suggest to everyone to do their own research first and be willing to do some trial and error with it and other products as everyone is different. I feel as though I have been really lucky finding a product on my first try that works so well for me.

So far, so excellent
This product arrived super quickly, but that happened to be on the last day of my period. I washed and boiled it and gave it a go, so easy to use. I had watched some tips videos on Period Nirvana so was well prepared but found it MUCH easier than my moon cup. As my flow was very light I can’t give a thorough review but there was no leakage, no discomfort and the string gave me so much peace of mind. Super duper easy removal and I love there is no suction and no seal to break. We all know a reason for buying this is mess free period seggs and this product didn’t disappoint (though as I was so light it wasn’t a super good test), we could both feel it (no discomfort or issues with that though), I tucked the string inside as I was worried it would be annoying so needed to bare down to help with removal but it was easy. All in all very pleased and will absolutely be using for my next period.

Going well
Definitely easier than a menstrual cup for ease of going in and can’t feel it as much either. Obviously it’s a messy job if you had used cups before there’s not much difference. Enjoyable so far think I may have switched. Small looks very very small when it arrived but fit well and only minimal leaks to start with should become less once insertion and placement have been perfected.
