SAMSUNG CROMEBOOK 4 CHROME OS 11.6 HD INTEL CELERON PROCESSOR N4000 4GB RAM 32GB I have a little bit of a backstory to add to this review, so I thank you in advance if you continue. We usually by Apple products, and my husband uses that one, since I have trouble with multiple iPhones in the past which I've owned many, and given them to my youngest son. Both him and my husband won't use anything else. I am terrible with technology, since I was a stay at home mom, I didn't get to use my two Masters degrees. After getting frustrated with my iphonesm my husband made a joke and said they are too smart for me. He didn't mean it to offend me because we both laughed about it, and he wouldn't say anything mean spirited. I have stuck with Android phones, and I usually buy them elsewhere. After going to Best Buy I bought many top brand laptops which would last me about a year because of various reasons, with Windows being to large for the model I bought making them useless. In Best Buy I bought a Samsung Google Chromebook, because the person in the Geek Squad told me they can't be hacked and I got more than my moneys worth since it lasted six years. About 13 months ago when my computer gave out I looked on Amazon, and since it offered next day delivery last time I bought this same model. Only because I use computers everyday this model was a lot less expensive, but the only reason I chose it was it offered overnight delivery. It lasted about a year, and since I can be heavy when I type, I put half of the responsibility. That brings me to this review which I saw that the same model was for sale, only for some reason this didn't get delivered for five days. The driver was very kind, since it was raining out he knocked on the door. I bought the identical model because I thought it would be easier to set up, and it was. The screen is nice and bright and I love it. The only problem was the box didn't come with a serial number like my prior one. This isn't a problem that this one came with a totally different charger. I like the smaller size since it's very easy to take with me when I leave our house, It is great for what I use it for. I'm very happy with it, and I noticed that it was simple to set up in five minutes by myself. I hope it lasts more than a year this time. I will update this review if it doesn't last longer than a year, but it's one I recommend since it was something so inexpensive at approximately $239.00. I know it functions well for me, but you probably aren't as bad with technology as I am so you can choose your favorite brand. I like Samsung, and one last thing my one from best Buy was a more expensive model, but I paid an extra $200.00 for the Geek Squad six years ago and it was wasted since they couldn't access this remotely which is excellent news for a customer wanting a hack free laptop go with Google Chromebook unless you choose Apple. I have an Apple store about 25 minutes away where I could take free lessons, I just don't feel like it right now since I Have been very busy, but if this is only going to last a year than I will. I hope sharing my story about these Chromebooks unable to be remotely accessed helps. Thank you for your patience for reading my long review.

I really got him this because it's cheap and does what he needs (web browsing). I set it up for him initally, and he's put it through the paces in the year and a half he's had it. It's got a ton of dirt and debris, from him eating on it and taking it outside to watch his nascar races as he smokes his cigarettes. It's taken the beating and abuse so far so that's cool. I can say he'll probably get 3-4 years out of it before he gets another one, and before it becomes obsolete, but it's great for now and does what he needs. We did have some issues getting it connect to a wireless printer, but updating it and powercycling it fixed that. Albeit, if you don't know how to troubleshoot, many people might give up. This isn't specific to this brand, but the the Chrome/Google OS in general. I sometimes think an iPad would've been better for him, and I think that's what'll want next. He was a laptop user his entire life, and as long as he can play his words with friends, smacktalk on facebook, and watch youtube videos and browse fourms. He's happy. It does it snappy enough for him to not complain. It's worth a buy for the price.

Bought this when my last Chromebook just got too old and unsupported. I've had it two months and so far so good. I wish it had an SD card slot like my old Chromebook, so I am missing that. As others say, the speakers aren't especially powerful, but most of the time I use headphones anyway. The screen is super bright. That's good if using it in a bright room, but when I want to watch a movie in the low light of evening even the very lowest brightness setting is brighter than I like. The screen image also does a strange shaky thing sometimes and I don't know what's up with that. Battery life is great so far. I can use it four or five hours and not even drain it halfway. Durability seems to be good. I wish the power cord were longer. One other minor thing, the way the hinge works, when the laptop is open it elevates the back edge under the screen. I don't know if this is coincidental or if the manufacturer thinks they are being "ergonomic" by angling the keyboard, but if they wanted to be ergonomic they would be lowering the back edge and elevating the front edge so that wrists are higher than fingers, not the other way around. I don't know why the myth of angling a keyboard towards the user being good for health persists, because it's not. Angle the keyboard away to protect the hands and wrists, or just leave it flat.

My mom (over 60) needed a computer to pay bills on, and she was worried about virus protection. I figured a Chromebook would be a perfect fit for her, and she has enjoyed it a lot so far. The screen is very clear and bright so it’s easy for her to see. It only took me like 15 minutes to set it up for her, aside from the typical hiccups that come with setting up things for the elderly. (I love you mom but it’s true!) It arrived in great condition, it looks very sleek, and it’s not some monster of a laptop that sounds like a jet engine when you turn it on. I truly cannot speak to anything else when it comes to the function - it visits the electric company website perfectly. But for someone who has no desire to deal with paying bills on a smartphone screen, this is a value that cannot be beat - ESPECIALLY for someone with a fixed income. This didn’t break the bank, and I can trust that there’s no way my mom could accidentally delete System 32, so I am pleased.

This is nice for the price. It does not have the greatest screen for movies, but it gets the job done. I purchased simply to learn to type and it gets the job done. The volumn is low when watching media, but I suppose I could wear earbuds. Haven't tried that yet. I have not noticed any lag in responsiveness or any real problems. Considering the price, it's a nice little machine. Charges pretty fast too with the included charger.

I needed Chromebook upgrade because security support on my old one discontinued June 2022. I was disappointed that this OS upgrade still does not accept android apps I wanted. My typing feels easier than previous Chromebook: spacing of the keys seems a bit wider and better suited to me. Screen quality is adequate, but not as "crisp" as I would wish. It only has a single USB port, not 2 as described. EDIT: The USB-C charging port will also handle data... that makes 2 ports. There is no slot for SD card... description did not promise one, but I thought SD was kinda standard. My wife ordered separately, ordered same item number, and hers has SD slot (only one USB port).

I needed a knockaround laptop to take when I travel. I used to take my tablet, but more and more I need a full keyboard and a close to full laptop experience. I don't want to take my work laptop, as I can't risk it. I've now done a couple of trips with this Chromebook - and it fills the bill. Is the screen brilliant sharp? No. Is it lightning fast? No. Does it do the job I bought it for? Absolutely! And for not too many sheckels. I rate this a great buy and am glad I picked it up. Wifi works well. Battery life is great. Recharges quick. I've used it for web surfing, meetings, on-line documents, you-tube watching and movie watching when the hotel options sucked. If I have any complaint it would be I wish the speakers could put out a bit more volume.

Comprei na sessão de usados, veio de longe e demorou bastante, mas enfim, chegou. Veio bem embalado e está sendo de grande utilidade para mim. Por se tratar de um Chromebook é bem limitado, especialmente quando se está acostumado a usar o notebook, porém é leve, compacto e fácil de transportar.

Es muy bien producto pero debes de tener muy clara tu expectativa : si quieres algo de alto rendimiento entonces no es lo que buscas, si buscas algo para tareas básicas está excelente, muy buena duración de batería, portabilidad, compatibilidad, muy bien en general. Incluso para programar puede ser buena si utilizas editores remotos para que el procesamiento no esté en esta máquina y disfrutar de los atributos en los que destaca. Para un pequeño negocio también está muy bien, puedes instalar apps de Android como WhatsApp personal y business, entre otras aplicaciones de oficina.
