Ultra Hardware 13504 Heavy Duty Magnetic Catch-Brown-Polybagged, Pack of 2

I purchased a desk from Walmart that came with a slide out keyboard drawer, that the only thing keeping the drawer closed is made out of plastic. The draw constantly fell down and open so I decided to upgrade these parts with heavy duty magnets and what a difference. This drawer now stays closed and actually looks like a regular drawer and not a flip down keyboard drawer. Magnets are very strong and work great.

Just what I needed. Good strong cabinets that are holding a door shut for me. These are pretty heavy duty and holding a 2' x 4' door that is 1/2" thick without any issues. Get it son!

My 3-star rating is based on the performance of these catches. The entire catch is made well for the price - no complaints there. However, while I found the magnetic strength on one catch to be just fine for one of the tall doors I was using them for, the other magnet had less strength, which is disappointing in my particular application. **As others have said - DO NOT USE the screws that come with these! Cheap VERY SOFT metal that will likely end up not screwing all the way into the wood you're mounting it into, or worse ... the head will be get stripped and you won't be able to back it out. Use your own better quality screws. You've been warned! :)

Bought this to stop my kitten from getting into our towel cabinets and they work great. She has not been in the cabinet since. It was a little hard to install but my husband got it after a few tries.

I ordered this based on the description that clearly says it is a “2 pack.” Call me wacky, but I assumed this meant I would receive two separate magnetic catches. Instead I received one catch in a small plastic wrapper with a label that said “pack of 2.” Also the color is totally different than in the photo. The item I received is more of a medium brown with copper colored metal and screws. The magnet is quite strong, so that is one thing going for it.

Bought this to replace a similar closure on a jewelry armoire. It worked perfectly. I little stronger than the one I was replacing, but that was a good thing. Seems to be well made.

Very cheap looking in person. More yellowish brown than photo. Magnets are copper colored, not silver like photo. Tiny screws, inadequate to stand up to torque of repeated opening and closing. Screw heads stripped out instead of tightening down. Really poor quality.

Quite adequate. Good hold. fairly easy to install, if you can get your husband to give up his drill for 5 seconds. Good service
