This is great for fixing or replacing a plug around the house, easy and safe for DIY projects. Size is right, standard fit for most cords, didn't have any issues getting it to work with what I neededEasy to install, wiring inside is straightforward even if you're not super experienced with electrical stuff, terminals are clearly marked so you know exactly where each wire goes. Fit is solid too, cord grip holds tight so there's no worry about it coming loose or wires getting exposed laterCompatibility is good, works with standard 15 amp, 125 volt setups so it covers most household appliances and cords. Versatility is nice too, can use it for lamps, extension cords, small appliances, pretty much anything that needs a plug replaced instead of tossing the whole thing outQuality feels solid, plug body doesn't feel cheap or flimsy, prongs are sturdy too. Outstanding quality and performance, I was using an extension cord which was getting hot in the plug and connector sides, with a 12,000 btu portable AC and I replaced them for these ones from Leviton brand, and what a difference, the heat stopped instantly since the connection feels very tight now and before it was loose, for safety this is the brand you can trust, very easy to install and the price you cannot beat, it worth every penny, and the size is kind of bulky but since this is a heavy duty connector, you will be very happy with it.

Chopped up my fav cord with the hedge trimmer, thankfully only a few feet from the end. Fixed it right up with this guy, great price, good quality, easy fix.

Solid build and easy to use.Unlike some replacement plug terminals that require wrapping the wire around contact screws, this unit has box clamps. No fumbling with the wires. Strip, twist, insert, tighten.. done. Similar to a residential outlet, the terminal screw colors are also simple to decipher,.. brass for hot, silver for neutral and green for ground.I used it to replace a 14awg cord plug, but it will easily accept 12awg wire as well. I didn't measure, but I'd say it would accept thick insulated round and flat jacketed cords. Will definitely buy it again if/when needed.
