Bought as a "Pig Sticker""
I'm in to ""Big Knives"" ...!!! And this is a long knife . And let me tell you it's a very well put together knife as well. I cannot believe I got this knife for this price . I ordered a second one as soon as I got this one. Like snap it was re-ordered . 440-C steel . Came sharp and love the handle , good grip. So-so sheath ,but better than most. This knife is a steal at this price point. the blade is 11 inches in length ,handle is 5 inches. I collect big knives . I hate writing this review in a way , because soon this knife price will go up in price .All these 5 star ratings . Supply and demand !!!! This is a wonderful knife. And a steal at this price point. If you want a great hog sticker ,for a fantastic price this is the one. Did I mention it's a 1/4 inch thick at the spine ??? And 440 steel !!! Trust me I may buy another one as a gift. Will be my 3rd one in 3 days lol. But you don't find a deal like this every week or month. Usually you get screwed. but not this time . Peace.

Great value mini-Sword
I buy many Swords in the past, but the edge was kind of dull compared to this Tanto Razor Sharp Edge , I put it the test and I was impressed, it can chop clean off a 2 liters soda bottle with ease without any practice, even if don't strike it with an angle, I took a look of this edge and is micro serrated, not something to play with or leave unsheathed anywhere , if this people make Katanas like this, I would buy it, I recommend this

Good Knife, Bad Sheath
I really like this knife. It is comfortable and well balanced. Not the best steel for edge retention, but for the money, it is good. The sheath, however is crap. I will be making a new one for it. For the money, it is still a good deal.

Yes !!!
Blade measures 10 3/4" L x 1 1/4" W x 3/16" D with a slight curve. For the width, this is a very deep blade. Handle measures 5 1/2" L x 1 1/2" W x 1" D, and is asymmetrically round so you can orient the knife by feel, rather than having to look at it as you would with a symmetrically round handle. This is the same size and shape as a long Tanto-style or short Wakizashi-style Japanese knife/sword, but made of 440C stainless steel instead of welded carbon steel. The point of balance is pretty good at about half an inch up the blade from the guard. It sharpens nicely and maintains an edge well if not treated too roughly (like using it to chop wood). The stick tang seems quite secure. This is a unique MTech and a bargain at this price. If you like MTech, this will meet or exceed your expectations. If you are new to MTech, this will pleasantly surprise. Highly recommended. (Of course, the nylon sheath is functional but this baby deserves something nicer.)

Best deal in a quality short sword I've seen!
For the money this short sword delivers big time! Sharp and big blade ,sheath could be better but this is a fantastic deal ! Highly recommend this, wish they still made the copy of Cold Steel Trailmaster ๐

INCREDIBLE tanto for the price, WIDE FULL TANG
Edit: Oh wow, you can just turn the pommel to straighten the alignment. The blade is still held securely as the threading is tight. This makes this blade the BEST DEAL ON AMAZON???!!Pros:440C steel, both edges even, ABSOLUTELY straight. 4.5mm thick blade, HRC feels high, greater than 58HRC.Full WIDE tang runs the length of the handle with screw on pommel.Sheath is actually pretty good in my opinion - plastic liner prevents sheath destruction.Hollow ground blade, razor sharp profile.HUGE, hefty feel. It feels like it will last for decades.Cons:Distal taper to handle end means some may find the grip slippy. I performed double tsukamaki to remedy this.Hard rubber handle is slippery when wet. Again, remedied using tsukamaki.Screw-on pommel needed to be shaved from one side to sit aligned to spine.Literally, 0.01mm of play to guard. Hardly noticeable unless you're really banging on it.Overall:Normally, traditional tantos run in the $100+ range. The ones you find for $40 or so have HRCs of only around 52, which is too low.As such, for about 1/5th of the price of a traditional piece, this tanto is one of the most SOLID & SERVICEABLE blades in my collection. Unbelievable for the price.4.8 stars/5

Don't carry your guns into town...
Not a consealable blade, but the scabbard is so much more user friendly than the Honshu blade with the same specs. Worth the money, but don't expect to carry it without catching flack from the local PD...
User
That's a lot better than I'd hoped.
In an industry that's rampid with RIP offs, its nice when one comes through.
User
Disappointing
The guard is loose. The pommel is on crooked. The blade is stained and discoloured. Poor quality control.
