Unlike the entry level 440, the 440c is a higher quality steel. How I can be sure.** A: 44c **Q: Full tang ?** A: My best guess it's full tang of a sort. I tested it with a magnet and there is a strong magnetic pull on the top & bottom of the rubberized handle. There is very little (almost none) magnetic pull on the sides of the handle which leads me to think the tang is full but with a cutout in the middle. That would help the molded handle adhere better. All in all its an impressive knife for the price.
