Great cushion for those trying to avoid finger atrophy.

My mom has a left clenched fist. This cushion is the perfect size to keep her nails from digging in to her skin. Two come to a pack making it easy to have a clean one while the other is in the wash. BTW they hold their shape when washed. Highly recommend.

It's a little too thick for my husband whose left hand is becoming really tight and closed with Parkinsons but the concept is great. I have to really work it under his left pinky and ring finger

Works well. One I had before that hospital made did not have elastic so was always losing it.

My brother has contractions in his hands from cerebral palsy. His hands are in a fist position and sometimes his fingernails will push into his skin. These really help to keep his fingernails from digging into his skin as well as keeping his hand muscles open. They are very soft and very comfortable. I don’t put the strap on him as it puts a bit too much pressure on the top of his hand but they are fine to use without the strap.

We hope it will help heal his hand, time will tell.

This "Palm Cushion", as we call it in our household, is used for my mother. She suffered a stroke 12 years ago and has very limited use and movement on the right side of her body (her right arm and hand are immobile). This "palm cushion" provides comfort and support for my mother's right hand and fingers. Additionally, it also prevents her fingernails from digging into her palm and breaking the skin. Perhaps the one drawback of this product is how easily it could fall out of her hand, however, the strap on the palm cushion is not designed to be that tight or it will be uncomfortable for wearer. Other than that, it's a solid product for those individuals like my mother.

These are exactly what I was looking for, and they’re very comfortable. They’re simple little things that do the job. Just like little cushions with an elastic band. Love them!

I got these for my arthritic mum. She had gotten into the habit of keeping one hand in a fist and her poor swollen joints kind of got stuck that way. Her fingernails had started digging into her palm, and she was getting to the point where a couple of fingers were not going to unbend at all. She’s been using these for about a month every day, and sleeps with it as well. She can now open all of her fingers almost completely, and has much more mobility in her individual fingers and thumb. They are lovely and soft and wash like a dream. I had no problem ironing on a name label. She enjoys holding it as they feel just like a plush toy. For someone with large hands, the elastic might be a bit snug, but it’s the perfect fit for small hands, even with swollen knuckles.

As an OT, I advise for clients with poor hand hygiene or to prevent contractures. Time will tell how quickly it loses it's plumpness.

The items I ordered were a bit too small and I had to order a bigger size. It was difficult to decidee what size to order.

I've got several pairs of those hand grips but those ones must be for a child.
