Reliable, Fast, and Worth Every Penny – Perfect for On-the-Go Storage
The SanDisk 256GB Ultra Dual Drive Go USB Type-C has been a game changer for transferring files between my laptop and phone. It’s incredibly easy to use, with smooth plug-and-play functionality and fast transfer speeds. The durability is impressive too—I’ve tossed it in bags and pockets without any worry. The quality feels premium, and I haven’t experienced any data loss or corruption even after frequent use. I also appreciate how easy it is to remove from USB-C ports without excessive force or wiggling. For the value for money, this drive delivers top-tier performance and reliability in a compact, dual-interface design. A must-have for anyone juggling devices!

High quality handy storage and transfer device for phone to computer
Super handy device. Much easier and faster than trying to transfer photos from my phone to my computer via a data USB cord which is quite slow and cumbersome. This is also tiny and easy to keep with you. At 256 GB this will hold a lot of photos and videos and makes it easy to share, copy, save to computer, or just store your photos so they aren't filling up your phone storage. I've always had good luck with SanDisk products and most all of my flash drives, cards, and readers are SanDisk. This is very sturdy, well made, and the spinning cover is perfect for protecting the end and easy to switch between the C and the A USBs. Well worth the price.

The versatility of this flash drive is unmatched, and it has become an indispensable tool in my digital life. What truly sets the SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Go apart is its impressive functionality. With a generous storage capacity of 256GB, I no longer have to worry about running out of space for my files, documents, photos, and videos. The high-speed USB 3.1 performance ensures that my data transfers are quick and efficient, saving me valuable time. Very good portable flash drive solution
This works both on macOS (Yosemite all the way up to Sonoma) and Windows (10, 11). I am able to easily transfer and work with (print, edit) files on this flash drive no matter which system I am using. I have also used this drive while plugged into my iPhone 15 and it works just fine. Using the Files app and browsing to the flash drive, I can see and open the files on it with no problem. The entire device itself is quite small and portable, so it fits in any pocket, pouch, or on any keychain without taking up a lot of space. While I have only been using it for a short while (three weeks), it has always been available and reliable, with no hiccups or complaints from either Windows or macOS about the drive not being visible/readable/ready. The only reason this is not a 5-star item is the physical design. I like that you can have either side/connector (USB-A or USB-C) out/open by spinning the flash drive, but that also means that whichever side is out is exposed. This device DOES NOT come with any kind of dust/protective cover for either connector. For that matter, the side that is not exposed isn't exceedingly well protected either, but it is better than nothing. I would like it if the device came with protective caps for the connectors or allowed you to control exposure of the connector ends. Shy of that one issue (lack of dust covers for connectors), this is a very good flash drive.

Good price for a great product
I bought this so that I could have a second OS that I could use on any of my computers. I needed a large storage device in a small package. I was a little surprised at how small it was but smaller is better for my case. I've been running an OS from it for about a week now and had no problems. It boots as fast as the Windows 11 that is on my hard drive and I can have my OS and all the files the same on any computer. Having the 2 ports to use also comes in handy since some of my computers have USB-C that is not being used for something else. I also felt the price was good for 512GB. I would recommend it.

Works with iPad Pro 11 (2018) running iPadOS 13.1.3
I recently bought a Samsung Duo Plus 256GB - 300MB/s USB 3.1 Flash Drive (MUF-256DB/AM) specifically for my iPad described above. My first problem was that the stick body was too large to pass through the opening in my $50 ZUGU CASE MUSE CASE (how's that for a name?). The second and fatal problem presented when I took the tablet out of the case and the tablet would not recognize the drive. I just now discovered that I am 10 updates behind on the OS (no, seriously, 10), and the Samsung might work with one of them, but now there is no problem, because this tiny drive with the same capacity is perfect. There is a lot of space around it when plugged through the case, the connection has a satisfying feel, the OS recognizes it instantaneously, and small files transfer instantly. Based on the speed tests you see here, I expect movies, etc., to transfer rapidly. The size is astonishing, mechanical operation is good, it looks nice for a $37 piece of plastic, and I think the size and light weight have convinced me to wear it on a nylon neck cord that came with an expensive drive I bought years ago. BTW, I noticed some people use a version 7 of CrystalDiskMark, so I installed it and discovered it has the option of several types of tests. I don't know what any of them mean, but after running version 6 tests using both the Type A terminal plugged into my PC tower, and the Type C terminal plugged directly into my motherboard, while the Type C was plugged in I went ahead and ran the version 7 test set at "peak performance." Like I said, I don't know the significance of the difference, but the big numbers surely look good. Most importantly, the read number from the "peak performance" setting eclipses the advertised number of "up to 150MB/s. I am addicted to just about anything I can plug into a PC or tablet, and this little jewel makes me happy.

Excellent thumb drive. Colors allow me to tell them apart.
Quick transfer of data on/off my MacBook Pro. Lightweight and durable. Inexpensive for what it can store-64Gb. Since it is plastic and not metal, it gets warm but not hot. I bought ten of them. Light enough to have four on my key ring.

Slow as a snail
I bought the 512GB 150MB/s version, the slowest version with the largest capacity. It initially looked good because it has a nice form factor of USB C and USB 3.0 connectivity. It quickly became apparent that this is a terrible product. It simply is unusable due to its insanely slow transfer speeds, and it's by far the worst USB storage device I have used. It feels like you're back in 2002 using the first generation of USB thumb sticks, because the drive would freeze up when you try to open a file or transfer something in. I tested this drive extensively to try to figure out what was wrong. I tried reformatting to ExFAT formats to resolve any compatibility issues with Mac vs PC. I tried using a NTFS reader app on the Mac to read/write NTFS directly. In both scenarios, the drive is painfully slow, and it was slightly faster and more stable in the NTFS format with a NTFS reader (Tuxera). In the ExFat format, it was just unusable and freezes up whenever a file is transferred. I tried using it on PC, and the speed tests (results of tests in images attached) shows ~14MB/s transfer speeds. That is comically slow. I tried both USB 3.0 and USB C ports on the PC, with similar results. I tested on USB C on the macbook air M1, and it was ~20MB/s, slightly faster. My conclusion from my testing is that it's simply not equipped to handle transfers of any large file. This is not a compatability or formatting issue. This drive is slow whether you connect to a Mac or PC. It's slow if you use the USB C port or the USB 3.0 port. It's slightly better if you use NTFS format and use it on windows. This drive is maybe enough if you're someone who only has tiny files, but why would you put yourself through this painful process to use the drive. Just avoid this and buy something with a faster transfer speed.
