Got this for homeschool. Very well made. We have enjoyed it! Easy to use. The slides that came with it are very nice and useful. Would recommend to anyone. Visibility and adjustment are perfect for what is needed for science labs. Light weight and easy to store away in the bag that comes with it.

It worked well, except we could not get the max magnification to focus. Multiple people tried, and it seemed to be an impossible task. It was a very complete kit though, that included pre-made slides, empty slides, droppers, and bulky tweezers. It is good for a basic set up, but if you want to take full advantage of max-magnification, you’ll want a different set. I’ll be returning this one so I can get one that I can have max magnification clarity. If you’re looking for fun projects with your littles, science projects for home-schooling and summer adventures, this is a great option.

Delivery was timely. Premade slides was an extra bonus in that you could examine away. Can’t wait to find things to examine. Making science to teach an exciting subject.

I had high hopes for this microscope, but it ended up being a big letdown. The focus is frustratingly difficult to adjust, making it hard to get a clear image at higher magnifications. The build quality feels cheap, and some parts, like the knobs, feel flimsy and unsteady. The included slides are basic and not very useful for real learning. I was hoping for a good beginner-friendly microscope, but this one feels more like a toy than a serious tool. Not worth the price.

This microscope is so fun to use. My kids love discovering micro organisms and other tiny living things that the naked eye cannot see.

I have been wanting a 2k magnification compound microscope, but they're out of budget.I recently ordered AmScope M150C-I 40X-1000X All-Metal Optical Glass Lenses Cordless LED Student Biological Compound Microscope, and right after I bought it, I received a notification that this one went on sale and it included the camera holder so why not?I put this one and an AmScope side by side and compared them. You can see the photos. The one I called "CheapScope" is from this listing.The AmScope was brighter in general and more detailed at 1000x. I went ahead and put the same prepared slide onto the one from this listing and it was pretty dim, but I could make things out. I believe it was slightly less clear than the AmScope.When I switched it to 2000x using the 2x eyepiece, it was so dark I could not make out any details. This is after using the knob to set the light bulbs correctly and also using the dial to increase the illumination to max. I was only able to view the details by putting my samsung phone over the lense since it takes great night shots. I had to hold the phone though because the included phone holder is not adjustable right to left. The phone holder will only work if your phone has a camera right in the middle. The phone holders also a cheap plastic and would not likely last long.
