A journey worth the while
I've followed this story since I was a teenager and hung up on the teen drama, and it has not disappointed me. I love everything about it; even now, as an adult, Kou's loss and Futaba's need to reconnect hits close to home. I've read all the chapters and watched the anime and live-action countless times. I won't be forgetting this story any time soon.

Finally! FINALLY! After 12 volumes...
Yep it finally happened, Futaba & Kou. Like I surmised in a review to a previous volume, Narumi & Kikuchi did in fact, get hurt. Futaba & Kou even mention that they had hurt others while trying to get to each other. I always figured Futaba went out with Kikuchi to spite Kou. She never expressed feelings for him, & she repeatedly self-internalized that she needed to be with Kikuchi because he is kind & treats her well. So yeah a lot of hurt feelings, an accident of sorts, then finally, on the 3rd try, Futaba & Kou finally meet up at that park, the one from junior high school, before Kou went away. It seems like this is a perfect stopping point, as it appears everyone has had closure in one form or another. Yet, there's a volume 13, maybe more coming? So, I'm curious to see what happens next. Art, fantastic. Dialogue, so tender. Sweet at times, bittersweet at others. Characters, believable, likeable, relatable, admirable, adorable. Such amazing characters. This mangaka always creates such interesting & fascinating characters.
