I purchased this because I purchased a set of 2 clear glass mugs here on Amazon. I love the mugs, but I wanted a good cover for it for steeping my tea. So seeing this set I couldn't resist it, because it gives me the cover I wanted, and I figured I'd love a clear infuser, so I can watch the oolong tea leaves unfurling in the water... So my only concern is if this infuser and cover will fit my mug. My mug is 12oz. Double ply glass.. and I'm glad to see that it fits perfectly. I made tea already with it. It's perfect! I love it! I love seeing the tea. I love having a cover to keep it warm longer.... I'm really happy with this purchase Edit after using for a couple of weeks; I'm really loving this infuser, I've ordered 2 more since. I'm not making tea with anything else anymore, I just love seeing my Oolong Tea leaves unrolling themselves slowly in the water. I love it! And I just wanted to mention one point. I see this issue coming up in reviews, and I've seen it for myself as well. That is that with this infuser, there will be some small pieces of tea leaves that pass through the little slits at the bottom. Now I kinda expected this because the holes aren't as small as the stainless steel infusers. But that is expected cause it's glass. But after using it now for a while, I see this issue is a little more of a issue than I expected maybe, there could be quite a bit of leaves sometimes. But I'm just being a little more careful now, and most times it doesn't really bother me.. so again I think this should be expected since it's glass.. and again I personally don't mind it too much.... It's still my favorite infuser by a ton

I brought a Teavanna glass clear teapot years ago but somehow I lost the infuser. I brought this tea infuser and it happened to fit perfectly. It also came with a cover as well that you sit the shifter on if it is not being used in the pot. It fits perfectly in the pot at the level where hot water can pass through for my leaves. It was very easy to clean. I am very satisfied with this item. I would give it a 4.8

Fits perfectly with my existing tea cup! I use this with my Anchor Hocking, Mug Cafe Crystal 16 ounce Glass Tea Cup (you can find it on Amazon, as a 1 pack or more) I JUST LOVE IT! Makes it so easy to steep, right in my cup! Then strain it & put it in the lid, so convenient! I love the quality of glass instead of the metal or plastic or silicone tea strainers…metal rusts, plastic leeches & silicone stains and/or smells so nothing beats glass! And the glass in glass looks seamless & gorgeous! It works great for me and I’ve tried a lot of different tea leaves in it with no issues. Or “worst case scenario, I stir a spoon around to loosen up the loose tea leaves BUT that usually happens with a non quality tea. That’s not the strainers fault. Never had an issue with it going from hot to cold water temperatures. So I say get it! I’m actually ordering it again right now!

I buy a lot of stuff from Amazon that I feel pretty neutral about, but this is one product that I really love! I've been wanting to get into loose leaf tea for years now and finally found this infuser that fits my needs. I didn't want a big teapot or something made of plastic. This fits perfectly in a standard mug with straight sides (it barely fits on my wider mugs that taper outward, kind of teeters on there, so just watch out for that). It's easy to clean, and the lid is well designed to be a tray for your tea once done brewing (it's like a tray/reservoir to catch any water that's dripping out). The glass seems a little delicate, so you can't be throwing it around while you're washing it, but honestly it's perfect for brewing 1 cup at a time!

It's just OK. Hard to empty without rinsing in the sink and tea leaves will get into your cup, so avoid that last sip unless you want tea leaves in your mouth. Otherwise, it seems fine but cautious, given that others have reported it is fragile.

Really impressed by this tea infuser. I use my own dried up herbs for herb tea as I try to limit the microplastics from tea bags and didn't want a stainless steel one because I use honey in my tea (which loses its benefits if you're using metal, should be wood or glass or porcelain). This tea infuser is exactly what I was hoping for. I love that it has a lid which can then be a coaster once the tea has infused. I like it so much I will buy another couple for gifts.

This is a great alternative to a stainless steel infuser! Highly recommend if you are wanting to make the switch.

Buscaba un producto que no se oxidara con el paso del tiempo y que fuera de un material noble. En este aspecto el filtro cumple. El problema es que al cabo de una semana de comprarlo se ha roto por la parte de los cortes. Ni tan siquiera sé cuándo ocurrió... Otra desventaja es que si infusionas rooibos las hojas son más pequeñas y se meten por los agujeros.

This is the second time I’ve purchased this (this time as a gift). Bought this for loose leaf tea, as an alternative to the stainless steel mesh ones that tend to get stained regardless of the name. It’s great. Only one leaf managed to get through the tiny slits. Works well even in the glass mug (see photos of lemongrass and ginger tea). Lovely to watch the tea as it brews and the lid keeps the heat in as well as being useful as a saucer. Only one caveat: if you lift the infuser and decide to put it back in the mug, it will displace the liquid and it’ll flow over the top.
