Review: Nice shower base - Top quality in perfect condition Review: Lightweight and small, but functional - The shower drain is not a standard size, but I made it work with a 2” floor drain and a Fernco connector. There is probably a better way. This is the smallest shower that would be useable, but it fit where I needed it. I think it is meant for an RV. I don’t know if it is more lightweight than other shower pans, and it did not break, so I guess it is fine. I did install it successfully. ## Features - Product Type:Auto Part - Item Package Dimension:14.732 cm L X 61.722 cm W X 104.14 cm H - Item Package Weight:3.901 kg - Country Of Origin: United States - Drain: Left hand drain ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B077JBR64G | | Best Sellers Rank | #235,229 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #89 in Shower Bases & Pans | | Brand | Specialty Recreation | | Brand Name | Specialty Recreation | | Color | White | | Customer Reviews | 4.2 out of 5 stars 115 Reviews | | Efficiency | Massage | | Finish Type | Lacquered | | Finish Types | Lacquered | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00612953929071 | | Included Components | Specialty Recreation SP2440WL Shower Pan - 24" x 40", LH Drain, White | | Installation Type | Deck Mounted | | Item Dimensions L x W | 42"L x 25"W | | Item Type Name | Shower Pan 24 X 40 White | | Item Weight | 6 pounds | | Manufacturer | SPECIALTY RECREATION | | Manufacturer Part Number | SP2440WL | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | Manufacturer Warranty | | Material | Plastic | | Material Type | Plastic | | Model Number | SP2440WL | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Jets | 1 | | Number of settings | 1 | | Setting Type | Massage, Rain | | Shape | Rectangular | | Style | Specialty Recreation SP2440WL Shower Pan - 24" x 40", LH Drain, White | | Style Name | Specialty Recreation SP2440WL Shower Pan - 24" x 40", LH Drain, White | | UPC | 612953929071 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Specialty Recreation - **Finish Type:** Lacquered - **Material:** Plastic - **Shape:** Rectangular - **Style:** Specialty Recreation SP2440WL Shower Pan - 24" x 40", LH Drain, White ## Images ![Specialty Recreation Shower Pan 24 X 40 White- Left Hand Drain - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/418AEQrzUKL.jpg) ![Specialty Recreation Shower Pan 24 X 40 White- Left Hand Drain - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51YjsTdCh9L.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice shower base *by B***L on May 14, 2026* Top quality in perfect condition ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lightweight and small, but functional *by A***R on October 3, 2023* The shower drain is not a standard size, but I made it work with a 2” floor drain and a Fernco connector. There is probably a better way. This is the smallest shower that would be useable, but it fit where I needed it. I think it is meant for an RV. I don’t know if it is more lightweight than other shower pans, and it did not break, so I guess it is fine. I did install it successfully. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice quality unit as advertised. *by T***. on November 11, 2025* Just as advertised. Nice, non slip base and amble flange to allow for the wall coverings to overlap. Entire bottom is supported by a piece of Styrofoam. Not saying this thing would withstand dropping something very heavy on it, but it is after all a plastic shower pan. Under normal circumstances this should support a few hundred pound load just fine. Size is just a tad under 24 by 40. Dimensions were accurate to product description and schematic. I bought this for my RV where space is at a premium and 24 inches wide is just about as narrow as you want to go. I will make the top section wider to allow for more elbow room. For just standing for a shower it's more than adequate. There is three inches of space under the front apron to the floor and 5 inches to the top. The three inch part seems excessive to me but I will be trimming the front edge anyway. The front edge has room for a 2x material under/behind it to provide for plenty of support. Will probably rip down a two-by-six as it's not set up for any standard dimensional lumber. Still a bit confused by the excessive space in the front and would have preferred the manufacturer extend this further and allowed for trimming as opposed to having fill in the space with something else. Not a deal breaker at all just a bit confusing as to what the engineers had in mind. 3 inches is a lot of space between the subfloor and finished floor. Overall, I am happy and would certainly buy again. One star removed for the strange apron configuration. ## Frequently Bought Together - Specialty Recreation Shower Pan 24 X 40 White- Left Hand Drain - Valterra A01-2012VP Silver Carded Shower Drain - RecPro RV Shower Drain and Bathtub Drain P Trap | RV Plumbing Drain and Trap --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/166569244-specialty-recreation-shower-pan-24-x-40-white-left-hand](https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/166569244-specialty-recreation-shower-pan-24-x-40-white-left-hand) --- *Product available on Desertcart Panama* *Store origin: PA* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
