SHARPAL 121N Dual-Grit Diamond Sharpening Stone Garden Tool File

I’m a relative beginner when it comes to knife sharpening, and this has been a very useful tool for me. I found it effective and much easier to use than several other sharpening options I’ve tried in the past. The 325 / 1200 grit combination offers a really practical range, allowing you to remove material when an edge is in rough shape and also offering finer honing to clean things up and restore sharpness. One of the biggest advantages for me is the comfort and control. The handle feels good in the hand and provides a secure grip, which makes the process feel more stable and less intimidating. I also appreciate that it is fully handheld rather than needing to be laid flat on a surface. I’ve always struggled to maintain a consistent angle with flat stones, and this design makes that much easier and more forgiving. It’s also very convenient to use. There’s no setup, no soaking, and no extra accessories required. I can grab it, sharpen a knife in just a few minutes, and put it away just as quickly. So far, I’ve had great results on both my pocket knives and kitchen knives, with noticeably improved sharpness.

After years of trying and largely failing to sharpen my tools with a small sharpener that came with one item and, as a result, not sharpening tools nearly as well or as frequently as necessary, I’m so glad I bought this sharpener. It’s very easy to use, which for me results in tools getting sharpened very regularly. Nice size, shape, and weight (light), but also feels solid so you’re not worrying about breaking it. I expect to get many happy years keeping tools sharp. I think our plants are happy, too.

Nice. Makes me wish I'd never purchased those colorful plastic versions with the bad grit. The cost of this is slightly higher, and it's smaller, but the quality is much better.

I'm here to buy my 3rd one. One for work, one for home and one for my backpack. I sharpen everything in a fraction of the time and with better results.

Believe the reviews. This is a top-notch knife sharpener. I have a bunch of knife sharpening systems that I use for pocket knives, hunting knives and kitchen knives. All easy to sharpen. But my machete was always a challenge. The 18" blade was too big for most of my sharpeners that mostly ran the blade against the sharpener. The machete is just a bit too heavy to be waving it back and forth on the sharpener. I need a sharpener that could be run against the blade. This SHARPAL is perfect. It has a comfortable handle and the diamond sharpener is just the right size to run against the big machete blade. The course side grinds away the blade edge and quickly forms a burr. The fine side easily puts the final touch. Perfect.

I was so excited to get several of these after some reviews promised they last years or forever. No, they do not. I have a set of Felco clippers with a blade that I sharpen about every 4-5 days after using on my property, which has stick weeds (thick, woody stems), multiflora rose (more thick woody stems but with thorns) and baby Autumn Olive trees. The grit works well for about 3 weeks, then gets progressively more worn until it can't sharpen at all. It's great while it works, it just doesn't last as long as many reviews claimed.

Je dois affuter 2 taille-haies, je crains que la surface diamantée, qui semble très mince, soit usée avant d'arriver au bout. Ça marche bien pour les couteaux de cuisine ... pour le reste ça paraît fragile ?

Do not waste time and money on buying stones to sharp knives, they do not work. The only one worth spending money, since it works, it is this one. It can sharp the ceramic knives very well too. I suggest buying this one.

Es estupendo, afilas rápido y muy bien si cuidas el ángulo, lo puedes llevar a todas partes, no se va a partir con un golpe como las piedras de cerámica, es cómodo, se agarra bien y deja un acabado muy bueno con el lado más fino. Llevo cinco afilados de cuchillos de cocina y está como el primer día, no va a hacer cuenco como las piedras. Si dura mucho merecerá las cinco estrellas
