Oster 3157 400-Watt Single-Speed Juice Extractor, White/Grey

I used this juicer for the first time today, using a recipe with carrots, oranges and lemons. The recipe said that it made 2 servings, but I barely got a serving from the juice extracted. I don't know if it was the juicer or the size of the fruit. Also, there was a little bit of pulp and carrot pieces in the juice. Keep in mind that this was my first time using the juicer, so it likely could be operator error as well I did re-juice the pulp because I had read that in a review of a juicer somewhere, but I got almost no juice out of that pulp. All in all, I think it is a good juicer for the price, especially if you are new to juicing and don't want to spend a lot of money to see if you will like juicing or not. I would definitely recommend it for someone who has never juiced before. I think experienced juicers will be disappointed. A couple more points: it is not large, so it doesn't take up a lot of counter space and it stores easily; easy to assemble/disassemble; easy to clean, relatively quiet, juices quickly.

After looking over the many brands available, I choose this juicer because of the way it was made and way it was described. It works well for the type of fruits and vegetables I use for making juice. I do wish that the clips holding the top part were metal instead of plastic thou. It is easy to take apart and clean and the pulp container holds a lot before needing to be emptied. It is heavy enough that it stays put while juicer is running.

although I'll give kudos on how much juice it produces this item is not worth your time or money. I hate to leave bad reviews but I'm pretty disappointed with this one. Considering this is my second juicer, my first one was less than $30 but the motor burned out, I had higher expectations since I paid a bit more since my last one. Underneath the filter basket is the motor base housing, the filter basket does not hold all the juice so it leaks into the motor base and into the motor. Also you can't remove this part so you have to deal with the smell of previous rotting juice each time you use. The juice spout also is pretty messy and shoots juice out like crazy and the cover/lid doesn't fit too snug either so more juice is ejected from there as well.I can deal with a bit of juice splashing out and cleaning it up, but not having to have my juices smell and taste like rotting fruit.

It's a nice little juicer. It works well with less fibery foods like apples, but it gets easily clogged with others such as carrots and beets, so that you have to open it and clean it halfway through your juicing. I use it maybe once every other day for a glass of juice so it's fine, but I wouldn't recommend it for heavier juicing nor for more frequent use (it's a pain to clean!)

This was advertised as a "starter juicer" for newbies, which is just right for me. Given to me as a gift. First day of use was alot of fun, trying various fruits & veggies. Second day of use it wouldn't start until did some deep cleaning of the base, which was stuck. Third day of use it was dead.Buy.com's policy is <30 days to return and I'm at 42 days since purchased, so have to see how cooperative they will be. I wouldn't exchange it, but would upgrade to another unit. The Oster 400W seemed to generate an awful lot of wasted juice and pulp. Would think higher quality units would produce more juice and less waste. Would not buy again.

I got this juicer about a month now, could'nt wa from it to start juicing as soon as it was delivered. This is one powerful little juicer, i juice everything from beets,apples,pears, grapes,celery,etc. it has change my life for the better, I now go more often to the bathroom,my skin looks better and i no longer dring the garbage called juice from the store. Its strong , durable, sterdy and those fruits like nobodys business. love it, go ahead and get it ,it will do your body good.

Really nice but when i use it for the first time a made a disaster in the kitchen maybe beacause i have never use this before.

Off an on relationship. Juices literally anything. Pure juice with the waste coming out as dry as Sahara desert. Love it juice.But has broken down twice Got fixed first time- was due to sticky rotors when i juiced pineapple. Gave a spark recently and broke down. getting in fixed. Will increase rating if I find that the breakage was due to my fault.

Its gud but donno whether the is i got delivered is defected r all d juicers r like that.While blending the juice its leaking from the sides of the jar where we connect motor and that jar.

Its a great product..have been using it for 3 months now..Extracts nicely from carrots, beet, oranges, apples, cucumber et all..Best consumer pdt I have purchased till date..

It's not even work for one time and smoke came from in the juicers once I start, to get that refund....they took more then 20days
