Works great well worth it if you ask me!
The product works great! My pictures shows it fits great around a 1/2 CPVC (gray pipe not included). The filters tubes go under the gravel and optional under gravel filter, the rocks go on top to hide it all. A pond master model 3 pump pumps the water up to a filter not included of course. I only used two kits in my 180 gallon tank so it comes with a lot of parts so that's nice!

Poor instructions, parts not compatible with filter
I use a tetra whisper filter and this does not connect. I used heat via a lighter and electrical tape to jerry rig it and it works that way. There were no instructions so you have to figure it out which isn't too hard but definitely caused some initial confusion. Some of the pieces don't fit each other and had to be forced. I had to cut a few pieces to make them fit my filter as well. If you need pictures or measurements, I can post some if you contact me or use the "ask a question" function on this page(it usually send an email to everyone who has recently purchased it). Water seems to come out of the filter at a normal rate so it allows for decent movement. The tubes are somewhat larger so I needed a good 1-2 inches of gravel to fully cover it but petsmart sells the large bags for like $20-ish. I still HAVE to go through and vacuum my gravel out a couple of times a week as this sucks almost nothing up, not by its own fault, its just physics I assume. But don't expect this to help keep your gravel clean, there isn't enough suction. (I have a 40 gallon tank with a 40-50 gallon filter).

I love the under gravel type filters. Tank water stays clean.
I like that you can build it according to the dimensions of your tank.. I purchased 2 as I have a 125 gallon aquarium. Running 2 powerheads (375 gph each) and 2 penn-plax cascade 300 hang on filters. Aquarium is crystal clear compared to using the canister filter I was using.

Missing a piece
Trying to puzzle out instructions when I realized it was being complicated by a piece missing... all pieces were originally loose in the box, which is kind of questionable given the price. Still working out how to join everything together with non-existent instructions. Parts don't have threads, tolerance is a little iffy, wobbly when mostly assembled. Not sure how contacting customer service will be...Needed this to be up and running ASAP and this was what I was waiting on. So... guess I'll have to find an alternative

Great for planet tanks
I have a planted aquarium. When I add fertilizer I believe this system sucks it in to the aquatic soil and feed the plants at the roots. Slow is better gives the plant time to eat the fertilizer

Three way connector missing.
It's the white piece shown in the picture on the back of the box that I circled in green. You cannot tie the bars together without that piece.

Requires more elbow connectors and suction cups
It floats. makes id difficult to bury with substrate had to secure them on the bottom with suction cups. Also not enough elbows in box

Good product. Would buy again.
So I bought this because I couldn't find an undergravel filter that would fit my 30 gallon tall. So far it has worked beautifully! I have a couple betta's in my tank (they don't like strong currents) and this has kept the suction current down to the bare minimum. I've never had any issues with it clogging up but I would not reccomend for any tank where you plan to use anything finer than gravel as your substrate. It can be used with a wide variety of filters. **a little tip for installation though, because the tubes are moveable, it's good to have a multiperson team to help install it: one or more persons to hold down the tubing while another person pours the gravel on top** I did not have help, so parts of my tubing are poking up through the gravel. It's not necessary to do and it certainly doesn't hurt if you don't, but it pays off aesthetically if you do use the multiperson team.
