TSA or a bag handler screwed my lock up on my Samsonite hard shell luggage. Once I saw it was removable, I found this one here and ordered it. Installed perfectly, works perfectly, looks like OEM. A+ thumbs up F- thumbs down to the derp at TSA who couldn't figure out how to unlock it with their key and took some kind of screwdriver to pry it open. They should send me a check for $12 replacement cost.

My latch broke on a recent trip and needed it fixed asap! Searched the internet and then to Amazon for this one. Quick and easy fix. Great replacement, very happy with it!

Nice craftsmanship. Way better lock than what came on the bag to begin with. Very easy install. And make sure you hit the reset button first before trying to add your on code .

I bought this security lock to replace the original lock on my Samsonite suitcase that was stuck and had to be removed with force. The replacement lock was screwed into the same holes as the original, and setting the lock code was done in seconds. The plastic material of the replacement lock is okay; it doesn't feel as sturdy as the original lock, but good enough as a replacement.

Be very careful to choose a lock where the holes on the back of the lock match the pattern of the holes on the suitcase. This one was the right pattern, just had to adjust the holes in the suitcase slightly with a drill and now fits great. A pretty simple and reasonably priced fix for the lock that was destroyed by the baggage handlers.
