A: I've used a timer on it and it worked fine. As long as you let the bulb cool down enough before it turns back on.

**Q: How long does this bulb last on average if on 12 hours a day?**
A: I believe it's rated for year. However, I recommend replacinng the bulb in 6-8 months.

**Q: Is this good for a chemeleon?**
A: It says it's good for reptiles. I use mine for a bearded dragon

**Q: does it work with 220v input?**
A: Different voltages are determined by model number.

So the light is GREAT only problem I have is the part that screws into the socket was bent on arrival so it’s very touchy sometimes just walking by it will make it go off. Other than that very aggravating thing it’s a great light. I’m not going to rate the longevity because it hasn’t been long enough but other than what I stated already I’ve had no other problems.
