I have always used my nails as a tool to play the washboard (banging them against metal). Pro nails still don't chip for the 3 weeks I keep them, but this brand chipped on day 1 of doing that. It is nice that I didn't have to soak them in acetone to get them off though. Took a bit of a learning curve, but it was easy to find a couple of YouTube tutorials. I was completely done and dry in less than 45 minutes! I didn't even buff my nails (forgot to pick one up), and they still turned out shiny and smooth. My right hand pinky wasn't as smooth because I didn't let it set all the way before applying the top coat, but I'm still super pleased. You will definitely have to use the dipping tray because the bottles of powder are too small for even my tiny fingers to dip into. Perfect for a busy teacher/toddler mom who wants nice looking nails on a budget! I will definitely use the heck out of this set! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product *by K***N on April 17, 2020* I am very happy with this product! Being in the service industry regular/gell polish always chips really easily. I started getting dip powder about a year ago and fell in love however, it’s pretty pricey. I spend $60 once to twice a month on going to the salon. So, buying this is a real money saver! There is a bit of a learning curve (extremely thin layers are key, and waiting until the 2nd coat to apply the base near the edges and cuticle is the trick) I had to re do the whole thing because I didn’t do this the first time. The process is also a bit time consuming and pretty messy but other than that this was fairly simple and I’m a happy customer!I will also add that I purchased a nail drill ($10 from target) and that was extremely helpful! Also, the top coat provided does not have a very glossy finish so I applied my own top coat in addition to the one in the set and that helped a lot! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ SO good! *by F***R on May 28, 2020* I was skeptical with all the iffy reviews, but LOVE this kit! I've gotten powder dip done enough at nail salons and always obsessively watch the technician, so I think that helped a lot with knowing what to do, but it came with clear step by step instructions as well. It doesn't come with a brush to tap off the loose powder or a file (I just used a regular nail file and it worked fine, and I tapped the excess powder off with my other fingers, but might be worth it to have a brush to try and conserve as many leftovers as you can for next time!). The containers are small as other reviews have said, but I still would think each would last anywhere from doing your complete nails 3-5 times (and it comes with 8 colors!), which is still a bargain compared to how much it costs to get this done professionally. I've only had mine on for a day, but it really feels exactly like when I leave the nail salon and I have a good feeling it's going to stick for 2-3 weeks. Only real complaint I have is the colors are not as pictured. In my photo I have on the "Pink Nectar" which is supposedly the darkest purple in the French Manicure kit option, and it came out as a much more light pastel purple. I like the color anyway so it didn't bother me, but beware the color is probably not going to come out as advertised. My only other "complaint" is the top coat is EXTREMELY fumey. Like, I'm not talking your average nail polish fumes, I'm talking burned my nostrils/throat and made me dizzy for a moment when I made the mistake of getting too close while applying it. Good news is that part can go on really fast and dries super fast so as long as you do it quick and try not to breath it in too close, it was fine.
