The media could not be loaded. Ever used anything like this before. I have plaster walls and had o e room that wasn’t sprayed with texture when I redid the house. Stranger it’s like painting with cottage cheese. Very messy bit did the job.

I read all the reviews so I kind of knew what I was getting into. I only mixed half of the package into a gallon of paint as a couple of reviewers suggested. That was plenty of texture. I had to paint the wall twice to get even coverage because some places there was a lot more texture and some had a lot less. Going over it a 2nd time really helped with that. After it dried, the semi gloss paint that I used only looked semi gloss in some areas and flat in others, it was EXTREMELY rough. Like scrape your arm if you get too close kind of rough. I didn't like that very much so I lightly sanded with a fine grit then painted again with the same paint but without the texture mix in. The texture looked and felt much better after that. Finished, it looks like standard orange peel which is what I was going for. I started in the laundry room so if it didn't turn out well it would still be ok. I'm glad I practiced there. I have now moved on to the rest of the house and will be buying more because I want everything to be the same. Good price. Good result.

Gave this 3 stars, not because it was OK, it wasn’t, but because the results couldn’t possibly be as bad, so I must have done something wrong. My walls look like they have an advanced case of chicken pox, really creeps me out. Strange I used other Homax stuff, spray on and hopper feed and they worked great. My suggestion is if you use this product, have something readily available that you can use to scrape it off before the paint dries if you don’t like it.

Very easy to add to paint. Make sure you mix the paint and sand thoroughly. I even would stir it around when I needed to pour more into the paint tray. It perfectly matched a sand texture ceiling that was done in the 1960s or 70s. I recommend adding it to a primer paint and then after drying paint over with your final color. Primer paint tends to be a little thicker and the sand particles stay suspended in the paint better and won’t settle to the bottom of the paint can. I repaired a large crack using this and there is no visible sign of the repair.

Make sure this matches the finish you are trying to achieve. Took a little work and I mixed with some special textured rollers but I ended up getting a perfect finish with it.

If you are looking to actual add the popcorn texture this may not be your product. I needed texture. What I got was mostly grit. All the little pieces were more like a bag of powder. I could have found bigger pieces at the beach. Now I have to put my project off until I go to the store and get actual texture. I get that they break down in shipping but half a bag of powder is not good.

Got the job done wonderfully. I went to lowes looking for this, didn’t have any luck and the texture additives I was finding at home improvement stores wasn’t what I’d hoped. This comes with more than enough for two cans of paint. I was able to use half the package for each can. It helped cover the flaws in our drywall nicely. Highly recommend!
