Equine Emergencies: Treatment and Procedures

Absolutely love this textbook. I have it in my truck with me at all times driving between calls. I can quick run back to it and peak at it when I’m at an emergency and want a little reassurance on the decisions I’m making. And just knowing I have this when I’m driving out to an emergency, really eases my anticipatory anxiety.Highly recommend for equine veterinarians

This book has tons of emergency information in it and is a great companion to having a good vet. At our rescue we work closely with a veterinarian and this book allows us to understand veterinary care in emergency situations. It's been a huge asset for us at Hooker Ranch Slaughter Horse Rescue!

This book covers emergency medicine broadly and in detail. But, it is more than an emergency medicine book. The book also contains more routine procedures and conditions and short, clear discussions of the etiology and pathology of these plus treatments and treatment goals. If I had to choose one of the several equine medicine books I have, this would be the one.

Best reference for the general practitioner or the specialist in ACVECC. Great thorough review and much improved from previous version. Better pictures and better organized. Can't live without this one!
