My son wanted a bug habitat. I wanted one where the lid would stay on well so that there would not be escaping critters. Years later, we still have it and is still catching bugs.

My kids love this. It holds about any bug they find. Lids stays on strongly enough that I don’t panic when the kids bring it indoors.

It was smaller than expected (should have paid closer attention to the product information) but it works great and my granddaughter loves using it to collect bugs especially Rollie-Pollies!

Fun Critter Barn
Very well made. Will be sturdy and great to catch various critters for observation and then release. Will be much enjoyed by our 4 yr. old bug, fish and insect loving granddaughter.

Bug catchin'
I ordered this for my 6 year old son who is obsessed with rolli polli right now. Well any other bugs too. I gave him one of my good Mason jars at first but he dropped and broke it eventually. So i wanted something safer for him. I came cross this critter box with a light. Unfortunately before he could try it out his little sister got a hold of the top. Yes it is true the top does not stay on well. But that is probably so that you can let what ever critter you caught go quickly. Anyway she got it first and removed the little cap on the top. She lost or hid somewhere. She is 2 and like a little squirrel. Takes stuff and stashes it in God knows where. Well now the the top has no critter cap. So I emailed the company that sells it and they sell replacement parts. This part must gets lost lot. I ordered 2 from their site. So customer service is great. The caps are about $2 bucks. But better than buying a new box. Overall this box is for older kids that can keep up with stuff not for 2 year old critters kids that like to hide stuff. Overall I like it and would order again.

Small for the price
It was much smaller than I thought for the price. For this price it should be much bigger. Although my kid loved it because it has light on it.
