Delicious and very nutritive for your heart

This is the second time I have ordered this brand's cod liver and I must say I am very happy. So far all cans have had 5-6 chucks of liver in them. No bits and pieces as others have described. The taste is great. Yes it is a bit pricy but every once in a while I treat myself to it. Our bodies need the omega 3. I highly recommend the product and would definitely buy again.

Tastes like & smells like tuna fish, just so you know if you're new to cod livers. I very much enjoy tuna fish so this is good for me! I make a little pate from it by mashing it up with a little avocado-mayo, cream cheese and some herbs & seasonings, like a touch of dill, garlic granules, celery seed and then spread it on a slice of sprouted toast/bread or a cracker with some slices of avocado...and voilà...a tasty healthy little meal that is very high in omega-3 fatty oils and very filling! It is of course quite oily, so I set the pieces on a paper towel, but also do consume the oil for its health benefits. Quality product...was nice and fresh. Cans were intact...no dents or other problems. But just a word of CAUTION! Don't over consume cod livers...space out your consumption so you don't build up too much in your body. I was unaware of this possible vitamin toxicity and developed a rip-roaring headache due to the high Vitamin A and Vitamin D content that is naturally is present in all cod liver...The toxicity is referred to as "vitaminosis A and D"...it's a very real thing! You can research that online for your own edification on signs and symptoms.

Brace yourself! My spouse and I were very curious to try these, so he ordered them. First try, honestly, we ate it, but while giving each other side eye. It's a texture thing with me, blah. So, the last two times of the three just sat in the pantry. I had been craving pate and was going to buy chicken livers, and do the whole thing to make it, but then, Ahhhh, haaaa! What if I use the cod liver to make pate! You know what, it turned out better than expected! A little red onion, red bell pepper, capers, grated lemon skin, seasoning all in the food processor, delish! So, if you try it and end with side eye, just know, you can always turn it into something much better! I will definitely buy this again for making pate 👍🏽

It’s wild caught in Iceland and you just can’t find any cleaner water than that. I didn’t discover cod liver until my later years, and now it’s one of my favorite things to eat. I can’t get anyone else to try it because they’re so addicted to the junk food.

Too expensive to continue, but absolutely delicious!!

I’ve never had cod liver but decided to give it a try since I’ve been wanting to try different canned goods. The reviews seemed to be positive so I wanted to give this brand a try before the other ones offered on Amazon. The flavor is buttery and melts in your mouth. It’s a must for those who are a big fan of pâté or land animal liver. I put mine in the fridge so that it becomes a bit more dense. I eat it with vegetables but I know others eat it on a piece of cracker or toasted bread. It carries a lot of nutrients and is definitely for people with a specific taste palette. I had my family try it and they did not enjoy it because of the strong fish flavor — but you get used to it quickly. This is my second 3-pack that I ordered within less than a week. I don’t follow a specific diet or anything but I definitely will be incorporating this into my eating routine!

I was very disappointed to find a hair embedded inside the cod liver, not just on the surface but in the middle of the product. This raises serious concerns about the quality control and manufacturing process. I had to throw the entire can away because I no longer felt it was safe or appetizing to eat. Never buy it again

Delicious and delicate, goes well with a boiled egg and some onions!

This is a very high quality product. The liver is packed in its own oil and has a very mild, almost imperceptible smell. The liver itself also has a very mild taste that reminds me of cod roe. For those of you familiar with Japanese cuisine, the taste of reminds me of a mild mentaiko. Cod liver packed in cod liver oil is a potent source of omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) and vitamins A and D, offering benefits for bone health (aiding calcium absorption), heart health (reducing triglycerides and blood pressure), mental well-being (supporting cognitive function), and immune function. I decided to try this product for its health benefits but will definitely be adding this to my grocery list! Chris in Halifax
