My respironics nuance pillow has "L X2" on it. Is that different than just large?

There is a difference! I got my “L x2” pillow with my initial order of the Nuance Pro Gel Pillows Mask, which also included “S x2”, “M x2”, and “L x2” size pillows. The “L” size, referred to here, appears to be the same size as the “M x2”. I have not been able to locate any “x2” size pillows on Amazon – will look elsewhere.

How does it fit onto the mask?

The mask has a slight ridge and the pillow simply fits over it. I’ve been able to put the pillow back in place in the dark on the very few occasions that I managed to dislodge it from the mask

Is this size large same as the wisp large mask?

No because the wisp sits over your nose this fits in your nostrils can't compare

Will the nuance gel nasel pillows fit my swift lt mask?

I use this one. The opening that fits on to the mask is triangular. I don't think it will fit your mask.
